Founja Jungle is the second area that players will visit in New Pokemon Snap and is broken up into two courses. The first of these is Jungle (Day), which players will unlock once they've reached research level 2 in the Park (Night) course and photographed their first Illumina Pokemon. There are two alternate routes and 18 different Pokemon for players to photograph.
As is the case with most of the other courses in New Pokemon Snap, several of these Pokemon will only start to show up once players have raised their research level for the course. There's also a Legendary Pokemon that shows up after players have completed the game, although only if players interact with it in the Jungle (Night) course first.
Every Pokemon In Founja Jungle (Day)
Research Level 1
- Beautifly - Beautifly shows up in a lot of places throughout Founja Jungle and is incredibly difficult to miss. There are some particularly nice photo opportunities at the start of the course though as well as down by the waterfall.
- Aipom - Aipom will follow the players through the early parts of the course, although the best places to photograph it are either on the swamp route (scan the footprints at the first fork in the path to unlock it) or at the very beginning of the course.
- Arbok - There are a few spots where players can get a photo of Arbok, although it's often obstructed by foliage. Players can get a half decent shot after the first bend though, although they'll have to get the timing just right.
- Metapod - Metapod can be found on a tree to the left near the start of the course or in a few spots as the player passes over the ancient ruins. There are also some down to the player's right as they enter the final section near the waterfall.
- Slaking - There's a Slaking sleeping on the left as players go round the first bend in the track. It is possible to wake it, although it's difficult to get a decent photo due to its position.
- Pikipek - There are quite a few Pikipek throughout the course, but there's a nice photo opportunity on the inside of the first bend as players get quite close to it.
- Bounsweet - Bounsweet are everywhere in the Jungle (Day) course, but there's a particularly good spot to photograph one just before the swamp. There's also one hidden up in the bushes near Slaking which players will need to lure out with the Melody Player for the Jungle Buddies request.
- Quagsire - There are two Quagsire in the swamp section and a few more at the end of the course near the waterfall.
- Liepard - Getting a photo of a Liepard is pretty easy in the Jungle (Day) course as they are practically everywhere, there's a decent spot near the waterfall where players get especially close to one though.
- Magikarp - There are three or four Magikarp swimming around in the waterfall area, although players don't get anywhere near as close to them as they do in some of the other courses. There's also one beneath players as they head over the ruins area and two more can be found by getting Venusaur to jump into the water at research level 3 and throwing a Fluffruit up to the very top of the waterfall.
- Wooper - If players turn around as they are passing the waterfall, they'll see a little Wooper diving into the water. It's easy to miss though, so it's probably better just waiting until higher research levels as it starts to show up everywhere a little later on. At higher research levels, there's also one hiding in the bushes on the player's right just before they get to the swamp area.
Research Level 2
- Toucannon - There's a Toucannon's nest over on the left hand side as players are passing over the ancient ruins area. It is possible to get a half decent photo now, although the Jungle (Night) course presents some much better opportunities.
- Yanmega - Yanmega shows up in the swamp area near the two Quagsire as well as down by the waterfall near the end of the course.
- Sobble - Sobble is hiding in some bushes in the area just before the swamp, although there are much better photo opportunities once players reach research level 3. It will show up behind the waterfall and more can be found swimming in the water beneath it.
Research Level 3
- Leafeon - If players hit the sleepy Liepard near the end of the ancient ruins with an Illumina Orb (they'll have to be quick), they'll be able to get some really nice shots of Leafeon behind the waterfall. It's also possible to feed it a Fluffruit there, which is required for one of the course's photo requests.
- Vivillon - In order to see Vivillon in the Jungle (Day) course, players will need to take the swamp route and then quickly nail the little Aipom who stops in front of them with an Illumina Orb. If timed correctly, this will make him cut down some grass and allow players to get a really nice picture of some Vivillon. One will also show up at the very end of the course too once they've been freed.
- Venusaur - Venusaur can be found in the area on the right if players don't take the swamp route. There'll also be one down below them as they pass over the ancient ruins and another one off to the right in the final section of the course. If players lead the angry Arbok over to the Venusaur near the swamp area, a Venusaur will also show up on one of the rocks beneath the waterfall and can be made to jump into the water for a four star photograph. All players need to do is illuminate the nearby Crystabloom and then use the Melody Player while nearby.
End Game
- Mew - Once players have completed the game, Mew will show up in the Jungle (Night) course. If players complete all of the interactions with it there (hit it with Fluffruit a few times), it will then start to show up in the Jungle (Day) course as well. If players hit it with Illumina Orbs whenever they see it, it will show up again in the final area where players will be able to feed it Fluffruit to complete the Myth of the Jungle request.
