Toei Animation is Planning Two Movies

One Of them Will likely Be A One Piece Movie

Recently, it was revealed that Toei, the animation studio that handles the original One Piece anime, is working on two movies, set to release between April 2025 and March 2026.

The title or series these movies will cover is technically unknown, but of course, it’s more than likely that one of these movies will be a One Piece movie. This is especially the case because One Piece usually drops a new movie every three years. What this movie will cover and when it will take place is still a huge mystery, but Jump Festa 2025 could be where fans get to discover what it’s all about.

It’s expected that major information about One Piece will drop during this year's Jump Festa, just as it does each year, and a new movie has been on many fans’ radars, especially after the massive success that the previous One Piece movie, One Piece: Film Red, proved to be when it was released in 2022. That movie made it to the top 10 best-performing Japanese movies at the Box Office of all history, and Toei will definitely want to capitalize more on One Piece’s current worldwide success.

This newest movie will aim to surpass Film Red and all the other One Piece movies. Fans have enjoyed a lot of phenomenal stories over the last few years, and hopefully, One Piece will be able to break its previous box office record with this new movie. This is all the more possible due to One Piece’s growth overseas with the release of its Live Action.

Fans will have to wait for an official announcement, which will hopefully give them a release date, and maybe a rough idea of what the story will be about.

Thankfully, fans don’t have to wait too long as Jump Festa 2025 is taking place very soon, with the One Piece stage being set for December 22, 2024. Toei will also likely announce the other movie they have planned, which could be concerning another major series they cover.
