Netflix has finally confirmed that Season 2 of its live-action One Piece show premieres on the streaming service on March 10, 2026. Fans of this long-running anime/manga series couldn’t be more excited, not only because Season 1 is highly regarded as one of the best live-action adaptations ever made, but also because Season 2 will cover five fan favorite story arcs: Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island.
Fortunately, the talented actors who brought the Straw Hat Pirates to life are coming back: Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Gibson as Usopp and Taz Skylar and Sanji. However, many other iconic and beloved One Piece characters will join the fray in Season 2 and Netflix has made sure to cast actors that fit each role perfectly. Here’s everybody who was officially revealed so far, whether it was in a trailer or on any other type of promotional material.
Miss Wednesday
This Baroque Works Agent Will Play A Huge Role In Season 2
- Debut: Chapter 103 (Manga) Episode 62 (Anime)
- Portrayed by: Charithra Chandran
The Baroque Works agent known as Miss Wednesday will be extremely important to the main plot of both Season 2 and 3, but since this show is the first time many viewers are experiencing One Piece, Netflix has been careful to not spoil her real identity in any promotional material.
Miss Wednesday will be played by Charithra Chandran, a Scottish actress known for her roles in Alex Rider and Netflix’s very own Bridgerton. She can be seen briefly in the trailer for Season 2 and it's impressive how much she looks like her original anime/manga counterpart: she has her iconic blue hair, her extravagant green outfit, and she can even be seen wielding her strange signature weapon, the Peacock Slashers. Naturally, fans can’t help but wonder if Miss Wednesday’s pet duck, Karoo, will also make an appearance in Season 2.
Nico Robin (Miss All Sunday)
Another Mysterious Baroque Works Agent Who Wields Devil Fruit Powers
- Debut: Chapter 114 (Manga) Episode 67 (Anime)
- Portrayed by: Lera Abova
Nico Robin (also known by her alias, Miss All Sunday) is yet another Baroque Works agent who’ll make her debut in Season 2 of Netflix’s One Piece adaptation. She will be played by Russian-German actress Lera Abova, which is an absolutely perfect choice considering that Eiichiro Oda has said Robin would originate from Russia if she existed in the real world.
The trailers have confirmed that Robin will be donning her iconic white cowboy outfit in Season 2, but Netflix still hasn’t revealed much information about her most important and iconic character trait: her Devil Fruit powers. Robin has eaten the Hana Hana no Mi, which allows her to summon various body parts — arms, legs and even eyes — from any surface. However, aside from a few flower petals that can be briefly seen in one of the trailers, it is unknown how this versatile ability is going to look in live-action (although they’re most likely going to be depicted with CGI).
Tony Tony Chopper
This Adorable Anthropomorphic Reindeer Is The Heart And Soul Of The Season
- Debut: Chapter 134 (Manga) Episode 81 (Anime)
- Portrayed by: Mikaela Hoover
When it was announced that Season 2 would cover the Drum Island Arc, fans immediately began wondering what Tony Tony Chopper would look like in live-action. After all, he’s a reindeer who can talk and walk on two legs because he ate the Hito Hito no Mi. He obviously looks extremely different from all other characters in the series, and faithfully adapting him to live-action was going to be very hard.
Fortunately, Netflix erased any concerns when it revealed Chopper’s design during its TUDUM 2025 event. He is obviously being brought to life with CGI, but he still looks absolutely adorable, while also maintaining enough realistic elements to make it clear that he’s a reindeer. It’s also good to know that he’ll keep his classic recurring gags from the anime/manga, like forgetting that he’s a doctor or dancing whenever he feels flustered. Tony Tony Chopper will be voiced and motion-captured by Mikaela Hoover, who has experience voicing adorable animals with tragic backstories, since she portrayed Floor the Rabbit in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Smoker
This Fearless Marine Captain Will Showcase The True Power Of Logia Devil Fruits
- Debut: Chapter 97 (Manga) Episode 48 (Anime)
- Portrayed by: Callum Kerr
Season 1 ended with an ominous post-credits scene showing Smoker from the back, and, fortunately, this iconic Marine captain will finally make his long-awaited debut in the first few episodes of Season 2, during the Loguetown Arc. He’ll be portrayed by Callum Kerr, who Wheel of Time fans may remember for his role as Galad Trakand.
What’s especially interesting about Smoker is that he’s the first Logia-Type Devil Fruit user introduced in the series, so witnessing his unique smoke powers in live-action is going to be quite exciting. Not only will he keep his iconic white hair and his collection of cigars in the live-action adaptation, but Callum Kerr has also confirmed that Smoker will get to ride his iconic Billower Bike and that his beloved ice cream scene is going to be part of Season 2.
Tashigi
Smoker’s Right-Hand Woman And Zoro’s New Rival
- Debut: Chapter 96 (Manga) Episode 48 (Anime)
- Portrayed by: Julia Rehwald
Needless to say, Smoker can’t go anywhere without his trusty sidekick, Tashigi, a knowledgeable sword fighter who forges an intense rivalry with Roronoa Zoro. She will be portrayed by Julia Rehwald and this is a perfect casting because she looks strikingly similar to Kuina’s actress, Audrey Cymone.
In the original anime/manga, Tashigi is a memorable character who used to be a huge part of Zoro’s development, but she has sadly been forgotten by the story in more recent story arcs. Furthermore, Netflix’s live-action show has the opportunity to correct this mistake by giving Tashigi more story relevance while also making her come off as much more intimidating, similarly to what it did to Koby back in Season 1.
Laboon
A Giant Whale With An Emotional Backstory
- Debut: Chapter 102 (Manga) Episode 62 (Anime)
Season 2 will be all about sentient animals with tragic pasts, not only because it will feature Tony Tony Chopper, but also because it will mark the debut of Laboon, a massive Island Whale who lives in Reverse Mountain, just by the entrance to the Grand Line. Unlike Chopper, however, he’s not capable of human speech, but he will be the star of one of the series’ most iconic and most emotional storylines.
Laboon will be fully adapted with CGI, and his design is absolutely brilliant because it strikes that perfect balance between looking very realistic and having enough distinct features that immediately convey to the viewer that he’s not a conventional whale. Due to his backstory and his relationship with Luffy, he’s definitely going to resonate with most audiences, but many One Piece fans are also wondering if another character who is tied to Laboon’s backstory will be making a cameo during his flashback.
Crocus
Laboon’s Caretaker Is A Terrifying Old Man
- Debut: Chapter 102 (Manga) Episode 62 (Anime)
- Portrayed by: Clive Russell
But Laboon will not be alone, because living alongside him in Reverse Mountain is an old man called Crocus, a mysterious doctor who takes care of the Island Whale and is the overseer of the Twin Cape Lighthouse. He will be portrayed by Clive Russell, an experienced Scottish actor who is known for his roles in Thor: The Dark World and Netflix’s The Sandman.
Crocus is a character with a goofy design, and yet, the One Piece production team managed to make him look almost identical to his original anime/manga counterpart. What’s curious about Crocus is that he’s actually much more important to the lore of the series than it may initially seem, so it’ll be interesting to see if Season 2 reveals parts of his backstory or if Netflix will keep it for future seasons. Hopefully, he’ll also recreate his iconic staring gag in live-action, which is widely considered one of the funniest moments in the source material.
Dorry And Brogy
Two Legendary Giant Pirates From Elbaf
- Debut: Chapter 115 (Manga) Episode 71 (Anime)
- Portrayed by: Werner Coetser (Dorry) Brendan Murray (Brogy)
Something fascinating about One Piece as a whole is that its world slowly becomes more and more fantastical as the story progresses. The initial East Blue Saga starts off with relatively normal human characters, but it concludes with the introduction of Fish-Men and the Arlong Pirates. Season 2 will keep that trend alive by introducing Dorry and Brogy, two of the first giants to ever appear in the series.
Portrayed by Werner Coetser Brendan Murray, respectively, the first Season 2 trailer already gave fans a brief glimpse at what Brogy will look like, while Dorry’s design was revealed in an official promotional image. Fortunately, they look almost exactly like their anime/manga counterparts, not only because the special effects do a perfect job at conveying their massive size, but also because it's evident that the make-up and prosthetics teams crafted their outfits, wigs, and beards with a lot of care and eye for detail. It's safe to say that the addition of Dorry and Brogy is one of many things that will make Season 2 of Netflix’s One Piece even more thrilling and legendary than the first.
