NBA 2K25 follows much of the same identity laid out for the series in previous entries, even with some new additions to the formula. From its game modes to its extensive player creation, this new entry brings back many of the mechanics that players have come to expect from it. This includes the series' signature premium currency: VC. This is the game's most powerful currency and serves as the means for players to unlock anything from new animations, cards for the MyTeam game mode, new clothing cosmetics, and even the ability to upgrade a player's attributes and skills.
VC is one of the game's biggest microtransactions with several different amounts available for purchase from the game's store. The cheapest option is 5,000 VC for $2. However, for players looking to get their hands on VC without having to shell out actual money, the game gives them some options when it comes to earning the currency. This guide is here to help those players earn it as fast as they possibly can.

Locker Codes
The quickest way to get VC aside from microtransactions, the game occasionally gives out Locker Codes to players. These codes, once redeemed, will give players certain cosmetics and rewards. Sometimes, this batch of rewards can include VC, completely free of charge.
Unfortunately, this is not guaranteed. Locker Codes are only given out occasionally, and when they are, they won't always include VC for players to use. So, your best bet with this method is to keep your eyes open for any Locker Codes as they come out, and hop on them as soon as you can.
Daily Reward
This new game in the series introduces a mechanic called the Daily Spin. This feature gives players the chance to effectively "spin a wheel" that will give them whatever reward the wheel may fall on. This can include VC, with the chance to win up 100,000 VC with one spin.
Again, though, this is not a guaranteed method. However, it is still worth doing every day on the off chance that the wheel does decide to give you that sweet VC. Players just shouldn't rely on this method to get it.
Gatorade Go-Kart Challenge
In the MyCareer game mode, players can partake in a go-kart race to see if they can beat the best time of that week. When they can, they are given the chance to win 1,000,000 VC, which is not an amount to scoff at.
This is easier said than done, however, as other players will also be competing to win that title and claim the rewards. There is a good chance that another player will swoop in to take the record, but that doesn't mean it's not worth a try.

Completing Quests
Throughout a playthrough in MyCareer, players will receive quests that they can complete to progress their story. These can be found all around The City, where players can roam around free between games. As they complete these quests, players will receive VC as rewards, sort of like experience points in an RPG.
This is the most straightforward way to earn VC, though it doesn't dish it out in particularly high amounts. All you have to do is play MyCareer, complete their objectives, and the VC will come.
Play At Higher Difficulties
Finally, this goes hand-in-hand with the previous method. When playing at the Pro level, or higher, there will be a multiplier to increase how much VC you will earn. For instance, the Pro difficulty will multiply VC earnings by 100%. This only increases with each increase in difficulty level.
Due to this, playing the game at the Rookie and Semi-Pro levels isn't worth your time when trying to earn VC, as they don't give out that bonus multiplier.
