This post contains spoilers for Naruto.
Naruto Uzumaki was not always a powerful ninja. In the beginning, he was extremely weak and deemed a failure by most. In fact, nobody expected him to grow up to become the greatest ninja in history. Naruto's journey to become the strongest was not an easy one, and it required him to fight against some of the most terrifying enemies in the series.
Naruto Uzumaki's Kurama Evolution, Explained
Uzumaki Naruto's hard work and dedication finally amounted to assimilating with Kurama. How far have their evolutions come?
Obviously, he wouldn't have managed to win without the necessary strength. Thankfully, Kishimoto knew exactly when his protagonist needed a new power-up. By the end of Naruto, the hero had gained a ton of powers.
Naruto Could Use Two Types Of Sage Modes
Naruto's Sage Modes Made Him Significantly Stronger
- Naruto Uzumaki could use two different types of Sage Modes
- Naruto had way more chakra than anyone else
One of Naruto's strongest powers is the Sage Mode. He learned to use the Toad Sage Mode at Mount Myouboku because he lacked the means to stop the Six Paths of Pain. Fukasaku trained Naruto so that he could master the use of natural energy, which ultimately increased the potency of his attacks. By mastering the Toad Sage Mode, Naruto's sensory prowess also improved tremendously.
While the Toad Sage Mode was certainly impressive, the Six Paths Sage Mode took Naruto's abilities to a whole different level. Naruto could sense his opponents from far away, and he could even sense Madara's Limbo clones. In addition to the sensory enhancement, the Six Paths Sage Mode also improved Naruto's physical strength significantly.
In fact, Naruto nearly destroyed the moon with a single punch, showing how superior he was to the rest of the ninjas. His chakra reserves also increased, allowing him to fight for longer. Naruto's healing abilities improved to the point where he could help his comrades recover quickly. Furthermore, it also enabled him to fly at extraordinary speeds.
Naruto's Nine-Tails Mode Made Him Impossible To Beat
Naruto Mastered The Nine-Tails Mode Late In The Story
The Nine-Tails was sealed inside Naruto when he was still a baby. Minato trusted his son to master the Nine-Tails, but it was never going to be easy, as the tailed beast was said to be the embodiment of hatred. Throughout the story, Naruto tried to tap into the power of the Nine-Tails, only to lose control. After numerous failures, Naruto mastered the Nine-Tails' strength just before joining the Fourth Great Ninja War.
Naruto could even summon Kurama in battle to overpower his enemies. Moreover, he was able to share chakra with other people, helping them to use stronger techniques without repercussions. The Nine-Tails chakra cloak prevented Naruto from taking excessive damage from enemies, and even if he did, the cloak bolstered his recovery speed so that he didn't have to stop fighting.
Naruto Uzumaki Will Go Down As The Best Ninja In History
Aside from his insanely high chakra reserves, Naruto is also quite creative. He has mastered the Rasengan and created multiple variations of the technique. Furthermore, Naruto has created the Wind Release Rasenshuriken, an S-rank technique that causes damage to the target's body at a cellular level. Initially, Naruto couldn't use too many because of the high chakra consumption. However, after gaining access to Kurama's chakra, he was freed from such restraints, and he could use the techniques without any problems.
In addition to the Rasenshuriken, Naruto also used the Shadow Clone technique frequently. Most of the time, he would try to overwhelm his enemy with sheer numbers, while in other situations, he would use the clones to distract the enemy.

Naruto also excels at hand-to-hand combat, as evidenced by his fight with Momoshiki, where he overwhelmed the Otsutsuki with taijutsu alone. Obviously, the Six Paths Sage Mode plays a crucial role, as it enhances his power drastically. Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to fight someone of Momoshiki's caliber.
Naruto's Baryon Mode Is A Double-Edged Sword
In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, it was revealed that Naruto could use a special transformation called the Baryon Mode. While in this mode, any punch that connected with his enemy would rob them of their lifespan. Potentially, Naruto could kill his enemy with regular punches. The only time Naruto ever used the power was in the fight against Isshiki Otsutsuki.
Shut Up About Destiny And How People Can't Change!
Initially, the hero was led to believe that the Baryon Mode would take a heavy toll on Kurama, but the tailed beast would be fine. However, it was later revealed that Kurama would have to give up its life for Naruto to use the power. While it was poor writing on Ikemoto's behalf, no one can deny that the Baryon Mode needed some kind of drawback that would stop it from being too overpowered.
Naruto: Different Ways to Defeat the Edo Tensei
Edo Tensei was once believed to be an unstoppable jutsu, but as it turns out, there are a few ways to counter it.
Despite having so many powers at his disposal, Naruto is currently sealed in Boruto and has yet to be involved in any of the major arcs since then. Fans were not happy with Ikemoto's decision, and they were quite vocal about their disapproval. Hopefully, the author listens to the feedback and brings Naruto back soon.
