This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.

When it comes to the most iconic villains in the Naruto series, Madara Uchiha comes to mind immediately. However, in terms of strength, the greatest of them all is none other than Kaguya Otsutsuki, who appeared at the very end of the Fourth Great Ninja War.

Kaguya was known to be an absolute monster whose powers far surpassed even those of Madara, and sealing her required Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, and Sakura's combined effort. It goes without saying that Kaguya was the strongest foe that all these characters had faced, and she was an absolute calamity that could not be dealt with under normal circumstances.

In the Boruto series, it is quite clear to see that Kaguya Otsutsuki has already been surpassed. She is no longer the monster that she once was, and can actually be dealt with quite easily based on the current power levels in the series. The latest villain in the Boruto series, called Jura, is so strong that he is essentially deemed unkillable. His strength far surpasses that of Kaguya, and he is an even bigger monster than her.

  • Kaguya wasn't a well-written villain
  • Her strength surpassed Madara's powers

When one thinks of powerful characters in the Naruto series, Kaguya obviously comes to mind. She is the strongest character in the entire franchise and her powers were such that it required the entire combined effort of Team 7 to stop her. Hagoromo had to give Six Paths powers to both Naruto and Sasuke, while Obito had to do the same for Kakashi in order to stand a chance against Kaguya Otsutsuki in combat. Even then, she was only sealed and not killed.

This place... This earth is my precious nursery. I cannot allow you to damage it anymore. Here, I shall erase you all from existence right now. All chakra belongs to me! Once again, all chakra shall become one. Hagoromo, Hamura. You betrayed me. I shall reclaim my chakra. — Kaguya Otsutsuki, Naruto

Kaguya was so strong that she could destroy the entire planet. Later on, she had acquired such strength that she could destroy the entire dimension. Despite that, it has been made quite clear in the story that Jura actually scales far higher than her.

In fact, when compared to other Otsutsuki, Kaguya is actually quite a low-ranking one. It appears that even Momoshiki is a higher-ranking Otsutsuki. It is also known that she was the partner of Isshiki, and that he was ranked higher than her, meaning that he was stronger overall.

Still, it must be kept in mind that Kaguya ate the chakra fruit of the planet Earth, and that is what pushed her powers to the very next level compared to the others. Nonetheless, Kaguya's powers were absolutely nothing in comparison to those of Isshiki Otsutsuki. Now, Boruto has a villain even stronger than Isshiki, and that automatically makes him stronger than Kaguya as well.

Jura Has Officially Surpassed Kaguya Otsutsuki And Madara In Boruto

Naruto Uzumaki Could Gain Jura's Powers After Kurama In Boruto

Jura is known to be the human incarnation of the juvenile Ten-Tails in the Boruto series. It is said that Jura is incredibly powerful and that his strength is such that he is deemed unkillable in combat. Even Boruto and Kawaki combined cannot kill him, which says a lot about the level of strength he holds.

You don't understand a thing. For you are no ordinary shinobi. You're even a little different from Jinchuriki, those who host Bijuu inside them. You are human, and yet, if anything, you're more similar to me and Jura. — Kurama to Himawari Uzumaki in Boruto

It must also be remembered that Kashin Koji fully believed that Isshiki could be killed in battle by Naruto Uzumaki, while he believes that Jura is an absolute monstrosity that cannot be killed, no matter what.

Be it in terms of power or threat, Jura is greater than Isshiki and that makes him greater than Kaguya as well. This means that Boruto's current villain has already surpassed Naruto's strongest villain. This might be hard for some to believe, but that is how the power progression in Boruto has worked over the years, and it doesn't seem like it will change anytime soon.

Jura's full strength remains unknown at this point in time, and while he's already stronger than anyone else that fans have seen in the story, perhaps he will go on to create history by showing an unprecedented level of power that remains unmatched for many years to come.
