Itachi Uchiha Was One Of The Greatest Ninjas Of All Time

Itachi Uchiha was considered a prodigy of the Uchiha clan. His father, Fugaku, knew that Itachi was on a different level from any other Uchiha clan member, which is why he kept a close eye on his growth. Itachi was exposed to the horrors of war, and it affected his mindset quite a lot. He despised war and the loss of human lives. In fact, it is stated that Itachi began thinking like a Hokage at a young age.

The Uchiha enrolled in the Academy at the age of 6 years, and within months, he impressed all of his teachers. He was allowed to take the graduation exam early, which he passed with flying colors. Even after passing out, Itachi continued to grow at an astounding rate. It's quite clear that Itachi had a lot of potential, but one ninja surpassed him in this particular regard.

Kakashi Hatake was the son of the White Fang of the Hidden Leaf, so the villagers were expecting great things from him, and it's safe to say that he delivered on every front. Kakashi breezed past the Academy exams and graduated at the age of 5. A year later, Kakashi became a Chunin after he defeated Might Guy in the exams. At the age of 12, Kakashi was already a Jonin, meaning that he was one of the strongest ninjas within the Hidden Leaf.

Before even becoming an adult, Kakashi had mastered old techniques and created new ones. His peers knew that Kakashi was a cut above them and that he was destined for greatness. Originally, Kakashi didn't have a Kekkei Genkai, but he received a Sharingan implant from Obito. This further increased Kakashi's power level. Despite not being an Uchiha, Kakashi learned everything about the Sharingan. One wouldn't be wrong to believe that Kakashi mastered the Sharingan better than most Uchiha. In fact, the epithets "Kakashi of the Sharingan," "Hero of the Sharingan," and "Copy Ninja Kakashi" are proof enough of his skill.

Kakashi's strength went up a notch when he awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan, which allowed him to send any object or person to the Kamui dimension. This particular ability made Kakashi extremely dangerous to fight against, as he could use Kamui on another person's head and kill them instantly.

It would be remiss to not mention that the Mangekyou Sharingan drained Kakashi's chakra a lot faster because he was not an Uchiha. Additionally, Kakashi's left eye bled a lot while using Kamui. Kishimoto likely inserted these limitations to ensure that Kakashi wouldn't be able to abuse its power.

During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Kakashi received both the Mangekyou Sharingan from Obito along with Six Paths Chakra, and it caused a massive spike in the former's power. Kakashi could use both short- and long-ranged Kamui as many times as he wanted without any negative side effects.

He also gained access to Susanoo, which he utilized while fighting Kaguya Otsutsuki. Kakashi's Susanoo could throw Kamui shuriken, a special weapon that could warp anything into the Kamui dimension. If Kakashi had kept these abilities, he would have likely been stronger than Naruto and Sasuke. However, Kishimoto insisted on keeping it temporary, and Kakashi lost the Mangekyou Sharingan shortly afterward.
