This has led to several shinobi being the victims of a lost arm or leg while facing off against seemingly insurmountable threats. There are several Naruto characters who have lost limbs, but some manage to stand out from the crowd for various reasons.

Even with their chakra running out, Naruto and Sasuke summon enough power for one last Rasengan and Chidori. The clash marks the end of their battle, with both losing an arm due to their respective attacks.

The eye he offered to Kakashi as a reward for being a Jonin ended up establishing a link between the duo, as the leader of Team 7 figured out that the mastermind behind the Fourth Shinobi World War was none other than his close friend.

The battle between Jiraiya and Pain is hard to witness, especially given how it ends. Jiraiya was strong, but the lack of information surrounding this villain caused him to be ambushed by one of Pain's bodies, who managed to rip off his arm.

It marked the end for Jiraiya, who was surprised to see Pain's bodies regenerate as they mortally wounded him. Thankfully, he used his one surviving arm to send a valuable message to Konoha before eventually taking his last breath.

However, that doesn't stop the Kazekage from being captured after he uses a ton of power to save his people instead of looking out for himself. Deidara wasn't out of the woods yet, with Kakashi debuting his new Kamui move to tear apart another one of his limbs. Thankfully, he managed to recover his limbs, with Kakuzu reluctantly stitching his arms back together in order to help him out.

Lost His Arms To The Truth-Seeking Balls

• Happens In: "An Opening" (Episode 379 of Naruto: Shippuden)

Minato is one of the most beloved Naruto characters of all time, and fans were glad to see him make a return in the Fourth Shinobi World War. He fights side-by-side with his son and his allies against Obito, who transforms into the Ten-Tails' Jinchuriki.

However, even his immense speed prevented him from dodging Obito's Truth-Seeking Balls, which obliterated both his arms and prevented regeneration. Thankfully, even without his arms, Minato could hold his own in combat, showcasing why he was revered by many as the Fourth Hokage.
