How to Get Married
To marry a romanceable character in My Time At Sandrock, you must gift them the Engagement Ring. Your date will only accept the proposal if they are at least your Sweetheart or Lover. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- First, become “Friends” with the person you want to marry.
- Next, give them the Heart Knot to confess your love for them.
- Continue giving them gifts until they become your Sweetheart or Lover.
- Buy an Engagement Ring from the Mysterious Man for 2,081 Gols.
- Gift the ring to your partner and schedule the wedding day.
The wedding takes place at the Church of Light. You will have the option to cancel or change the date at the desk inside the church. The wedding ceremony will cost 3,000 Gols. You can re-host your wedding by visiting the Temple.

How to Get a Divorce
To break up with your spouse and initiate divorce, you must gift your wife or husband a Broken Mirror. This will remove their relationship points with you, making them leave the Workshop and go back to their initial place. You can buy a Broken Mirror from the Mysterious Man for 20,000 Gols.
Although the process of getting a divorce is irreversible, you can remarry your spouse, provided that you build up enough relationship points. (The divorce process in My Time At Sandrock is similar to that of divorce in Stardew Valley.)
How to Have a Baby
First, you must obtain at least 900 relationship points with your spouse so that they are your Lover or Soulmate. After that, you can initiate a conversation with them regarding having a baby, and place an empty crib at your Workshop to prepare for parenthood. Pregnancy will end after two in-game weeks. You will get to choose your baby’s name — as well as what they call you — right after they are born.
You can only have two babies in My Time At Sandrock.
How to Adopt a Baby
Like the pregnancy process, the process of child adoption can be initiated after obtaining 900 relationship points with your spouse. After this, you will need to submit your request to the Church of Light by interacting with the desk there. Next, you will have to wait for two weeks to welcome your adopted baby. Note that in order for your application to be successful, you must have a baby crib at your house.
Same-sex couples can only adopt children. The pregnancy option won’t be available to them.
