My Time at Sandrock: How to Make a Bronze Axe

Making and upgrading tools in My Time at Sandrock is an absolute necessity for earning better commissions and making progress in the game. The first things players should upgrade when playing are the pickhammer to a bronze pickhammer and the axe to a bronze axe.

How to Upgrade Tools in My Time at Sandrock

In order to make and upgrade tools, players can just head to their home work stations. The basic versions of this workbench are at their home at the beginning of the game; with it, players will need to create their first quest item: the pickhammer. But as the building grows tougher as the game progresses, players will need harder tools to break down harder materials.

There are several upgrades in My Time at Sandrock for both the axe and pickhammer, as well as weapons, in the workbench. The second level of workbench, the Intermediate, will also have iron axes and iron pickhammers to upgrade to. But first, players will need to make a bronze axe in order to cut down dead trees and quality wood scrap piles. To make these, players will need to get themselves several bars of bronze.

Unlike copper, there is no bronze ore. Players have to create it by smelting together copper and tin together in a Sandrock furnace. Copper is fairly easy to find; players can recycle copper scrap and dig in the abandoned mines for copper. But then they also have to find some tin.

Tin can be found in the My Time at Sandrock in several places:

Tin is for sale in the Salvage Shop.
In the abandoned mines at level 3 or lower.
Players can also buy bronze from Hammer Time.

Once players have a few pieces of bronze, they can make some new bronze tools for themselves. In order to make both the bronze pickhammer and the bronze axe, players will need 10 total bronze bars.

Head to the workbench. The recipe for the bronze axe should automatically be available. This recipe is:

5 bars of Bronze - made at the furnace with tin and copper
2 Wooden sticks - can use the My Time at Sandrock Recycler to recycle wood scrap into these
2 Copper rivets - These can be made with a grinder or purchased at Hammer Time
1 Sharpener - This can be purchased at Hammer Time
