Pathea Games has announced My Time at Evershine and is preparing to launch a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the game at the end of September. My Time at Evershine is part of the My Time series, which includes games like My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock. These games mix the life simulation genre with RPG elements and building mechanics.
According to the developer, My Time is a multi-million-selling series despite only having two games. My Time at Portia was released in 2019, has over 33,000 reviews on Steam, and holds a Very Positive rating. The first game's success quickly boosted sales of the sequel, which refined its predecessor's formula and added much-requested features, including the popular multiplayer mode in My Time at Sandrock. This helped the game maintain more long-term appeal with its fanbase, and Pathea Games has already confirmed that the next title will feature a multiplayer mode at launch.
My Time At Sandrock: How to Get Married and Have a Baby
My Time At Sandrock has a detailed romance journey that lets you marry, have babies, and even divorce your spouse.
My Time at Evershine was announced with a reveal trailer, listing several gameplay details that further enhance the series' formula. In the first two titles, the protagonist was a builder focused on improving the towns of Portia and Sandrock with their crafting skills. In My Time at Evershine, however, the protagonist will act as the Governor. In addition to being able to build things with their own hands, they will also need to delegate tasks to other NPCs, managing the town to the best of their ability.
My Time at Evershine Reveal Trailer
For the first time, My Time at Evershine will introduce a cooperative mode in its campaign, allowing up to four players to enjoy the main story together. The popular romance system from My Time at Sandrock will also return in My Time at Evershine, with the studio aiming to include up to 10 love options. The studio will launch a Kickstarter campaign on September 24 to ensure that the production of the game stays within budget.
Zifei Wu, the creative director of the My Time series, mentioned that My Time at Sandrock had a cost of around $12 million, speculating that My Time at Evershine will be in a similar range. For this reason, Wu believes that having extra funding in the early stages will help My Time at Evershine achieve bigger and better things. Before its official release, My Time at Sandrock launched in Early Access, which provided some breathing room for its development budget.
My Time at Evershine has yet to announce a release date, but the title is planning to launch for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch's successor console.
