U.A. High School is where some of Japan's most promising quirk users go to start their hero careers. As the top Hero Academy in the country, the students enrolled in U.A.'s Department of Heroes are given every opportunity to grow and improve their quirks so they can be the best versions of themselves when they're finally ready to go pro. Many of My Hero Academia's young heroes have shown themselves to be incredibly capable thanks to their time spent at U.A.

Ultimate Moves are a quirk user's strongest technique that they often use when they need a momentum shift in battle. These moves vary from user to user, with some being more defensive and others just being all-out attacks. Though the number of ultimate moves varies depending on the person, these techniques can be seen as the ultimate representation of a user's quirk. Fans have seen many U.A. Students show off their ultimate moves throughout the My Hero Academia manga and anime. These stand out as the absolute strongest among them.

Fumikage Tokoyami – Ragnarok

Manga Debut

Chapter 265, "Villains and Heroes"

Anime Debut

Episode 116, "One's Justice"

Quiet and not one to draw attention to himself, Tokoyami isn't the flashiest student at U.A. High School, but his Dark Shadow quirk definitely makes him stand out on the battlefield. While it might not be as flashy as some of his classmates' quirks, Dark Shadow has been shown to be one of the strongest U.A. Student quirks in the series.

Tokoyami's Ragnarok technique reflects just how powerful and chaotic the Dark Shadow quirk can be. The technique needs the area it's being used in to be dark enough to be effective, but when in the right environment, Tokoyami uses an enlarged version of Dark Shadow to lunge at his opponent with so much force that it can destroy virtually anything in its way. Not only is Ragnarok strong, but it's also pretty versatile. Tokoyami uses an alternative version of the attack called "Womb" that uses the enlarged Dark Shadow to ensnare his opponents. There's also his Fleeting Blow technique, which uses both Ragnarok and his Black Abyss technique to combine for a devastating one-two blow.

Tamaki Amajiki – Plasma Cannon

Manga Debut

Chapter 361, "Abnormal Happenings"

Anime Debut

Episode 149, "Light Fades to Rain"

As far as quirks go, Tamaki Amajiki's (or Suneater if you're using his hero name) Manifest quirk is as unique as it gets. The quirk allows Suneater to manipulate different parts of his body depending on what kind of food he eats. So eating something with octopus in it would allow him to manifest tentacles and so on. This is an interesting and versatile ability on its own, but Suneater manages to take things up a notch with his Plasma Cannon technique.

By manifesting the characteristics of every food item he's consumed, he's able to fire off a massive plasma blast with the help of Nejire's quirk. While the attack leaves him stuck on the spot when fired off, it's such a devastating move that it compensates for the lack of mobility. This definitely isn't something you'd think someone with Tamaki's quirk could pull off, which goes to show just how special his ability is.

Nejire Hado – Nejire Flood

Manga Debut

Chapter 290, "Dabi's Dance"

Anime Debut

Episode 124, "Dabi's Dance"

Another member of the Big 3, Nejire is one of the strongest students at U.A. High School. Her Wave Motion quirk lets her convert her vitality into energy, which she can then shoot out as waves. It's a great long-range quirk that lets her effectively take on the strongest enemies.

Nejire's ultimate move, Nejire Flood, is a supercharged version of her quirk that can be completely devastating to an opponent if they find themselves on the other end of it. The ability is basically just Nejire charging up her quirk to its max and sending out a massive energy wave. It's pretty straightforward as far as ultimate moves go, but it'll definitely get the job done against most opponents.

Mirio Togata – Phantom Menace

Manga Debut

Episode 150, "Mirio Togata"

Anime Debut

Episode 74, "Lemillion"

It's easy to see why Nighteye eyed Mirio as All Might's successor when the time came for the legendary hero to pass the torch. Not only is Mirio an incredibly gifted quirk user, but his infectiously cheerful personality is exactly what people look for in a potential No. 1-ranked pro hero. By mastering the Permeation quirk both he and his father possess, Mirio ended up as the strongest of U.A.'s Big 3.

Mirio's Phantom Menace ultimate move shows just how creative he can get with his quirk. Mirio needs to be close to his target to get the attack off, using his quirk to phase in and out of the surrounding area and bombard his opponent with blows. Not only does his constant movement through matter make it hard to locate and defend from the attack, but Mirio's strength allows him to easily wear down his opponents, leaving them in a tough spot.

Shoto Todoroki – Great Glacial Aegir

Manga Debut

Chapter 352, "Ultimate Moves"

Anime Debut

Episode 146, "Two Flashfires"

There's no doubt that Shoto is among Class 1-A's strongest students. His incredibly unique Half-Cold Half-Hot quirk makes him an incredibly versatile fighter, and he's managed to maximize the potential of his quirk by coming up with a variety of different techniques. Of all the moves Shoto has used, none are as strong as his Great Glacial Aegir.

By charging up both his fire and ice abilities, Shoto closes the gap between him and his opponent, moving in close and striking them while covering the surrounding area in ice. The move is so strong that Shoto was able to use it to put out the inferno Dabi created with his Blueflame quirk during the final war.

Katsuki Bakugo – Howitzer Impact: Cluster

Manga Debut

Chapter 358, "The Guy Who's Made Some Progress"

Anime Debut

Episode 148, "Wounded Hero, Burning Bright and True!!"

Bakugo's explosive quirk definitely matches his fiery personality. Bakugo's Explosion quirk lets him excrete highly volatile sweat from his palms, which he uses to create powerful explosive blasts. Bakugo's skill with his quirk has led to him creating a myriad of techniques in an effort to get the most out of his ability. The one that stands out the most is his Howitzer Impact: Cluster ultimate move.

The move is an improved version of his standard Howitzer Impact technique, which has him propel himself at high speeds in a circular motion by creating various explosions behind him. Howitzer Impact: Cluster is a supercharged version of the original, with a wider area of effect, and culminates in a massive fiery impact that most villains wouldn't stand a chance against.

Izuku Midoriya – Detroit Smash: Quintuple

Manga Debut

Chapter 369, "A Chain of Events, Across the Ages"

Anime Debut

Episode 151, "A Chain of Events, Across the Ages"

Having inherited One For All from All Might, Deku's quirk is one of the most versatile and powerful in all of My Hero Academia. Being as enthusiastic about quirks as he is, Deku has come up with tons of different techniques while trying to master the quirk passed on to him by his idol. While Deku definitely borrows a lot from All Might, he has managed to add his own spin on things.

Deku's Detroit Smash: Quintuple ultimate move is a devastating attack that makes use of the Gearshift quirk via One For All. Once he uses Gearshift on himself, Deku takes aim at his opponent and hits them with five Detroit Smashes in a row. The raw power of the technique would be too much for most to handle, and Deku made great use of it in his fight against Shigaraki during the Final War.

In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the "One-For-All" quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
