All these new series are amazing in their own right, but My Hero Academia Season 8 might just be the best anime of 2025 and the one that has the best chances of being crowned Anime of the Year in 2026. The battles and emotions in the final season of MHA will be of the highest level, and the farewell that Horikoshi's beloved series gives to the fans will certainly cause enough of an impact to have the series be crowned as the best anime.

My Hero Academia Season 8 is heavy on the action, and fans rarely have a moment to breathe as intense battles pile up one after another. Bakugo vs. All For One has only just started, and, of course, fans can't forget about the most anticipated final clash in the series between Deku vs. Shigaraki. Fans are most certainly deeply invested in this season, especially as it’s a short one and will be over in December. MHA fans might be sad to bid the series farewell soon, but at the very least, the adaptation seems to be praiseworthy, with very high ratings across the board.

Any anime that aired during 2025 is eligible for the next Crunchyroll Awards in 2026. The single most prestigious title an anime can win at these awards is Anime of the Year, and My Hero Academia is certainly a big contender.

In 2025, Solo Leveling season 1 was the winner, and many fans believe Solo Leveling Season 2 has a shot at winning again in 2026. But right now, at least, it is a very big possibility that My Hero Academia will be the one taking the award home, despite the tough competition it has. My Hero Academia Season 8 has been a sensation so far, and the emotional weight that comes with it being the final season will definitely push many to vote for it.

The My Hero Academia manga concluded with 431 chapters for fans to read. All these chapters can be found on Manga Plus. When it comes to the anime, this series is still awaiting its final season, which will be released later this year. The series can be watched on Crunchyroll.

In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the "One-For-All" quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
