This article contains major spoilers for the My Hero Academia series.
My Hero Academia has, throughout the years, cemented itself as the most popular superhero anime, and one of the most popular anime series in general. It has enjoyed a spectacular run over the years, but the end of My Hero Academia is fast approaching. The MHA manga reached its end late last year, and the anime is adapting the final stretch of chapters now. My Hero Academia Season 8, the final season, will have a total of 11 episodes. But, it's now been announced that MHA will also get a special OVA that will fix the ending of the series.
My Hero Academia: 13 Strongest End Of Series Heroes
MHA sees a new generation of pro heroes rise at the end of the series. Here are the strongest at the end.
While MHA episode 12’s content isn’t confirmed, more than likely, it will adapt MHA chapter 431, an extra chapter that some fans have discarded due to controversies surrounding it. The anime, however, will cement it as the true ending of the franchise.
My Hero Academia Season 8 Will Fix The Ending by Adapting Chapter 431 With The Main Story
My Hero Academia Season 8 is currently airing after having finished the Final War. Given that MHA Season 8 is the last one, the only part left to adapt now is the post-war stuff, and that's exactly what the anime is doing. Initially, My Hero Academia Season 8 was thought to have 11 episodes, but it will actually have a 12th episode in the form of a special OVA, as was confirmed recently.
As fans previously thought the series only had 11 episodes, many believed the story of MHA would cram chapter 431 in the 11th episode, or perhaps not adapt it at all as that is where the manga initially stopped.
However, My Hero Academia’s somewhat controversial yet excellent chapter is most certainly going to be included in the anime. My Hero Academia chapter 431 was added to the story after the original manga finished. MHA chapter 431 was written by Horikoshi and published in MHA’s final volume, so by all means, it’s canon and the true ending of the series.
My Hero Academia’s Izuku Midoriya Has Officially Been Beaten By Another Character
Deku is the protagonist of MHA, but he has been surpassed by this character.
With 12 episodes now confirmed, this extra chapter is most definitely getting adapted, which fans should be delighted with. The biggest problem with the MHA manga ending was that the fans were split on what ending was truly canon. Some believed 431 is not canon, while others wholeheartedly consider it the true ending. The truth is that MHA chapter 431 is fully canon and the anime will put it beyond any doubts after adapting it.
MHA Chapter 431 Expands On The Characters Greatly
There are many reasons why MHA chapter 431 is as controversial as it is, and why a select few fans have decided to discard it. My Hero Academia chapter 431 confirms the official final couple of the series, that of Izuku Midoriya and Ochaco Uraraka. Previously worried about showcasing the romance, Horikoshi decided to include it in this final extra chapter. Many fans of MHA would have loved to see Deku end with someone else entirely, and that is where a lot of the drama stems from.
At the same time, some fans think Horikoshi was only catering to the fans with this chapter, and so they consider it just fan service. The truth is that regardless of whether it is fan service or not, it is canon, written by the author himself. It will most certainly be a part of the anime, and this will finally settle the debate once and for all, fixing the ending forever.
The My Hero Academia manga concluded with 431 chapters for fans to read. All these chapters can be found on Manga Plus. My Hero Academia is also airing its final season, which will consist of 11 episodes in total. The series can be watched on Crunchyroll.
