Horikoshi Kohei's My Hero Academia is one of the most popular manga series in the world. It began serialization in 2014 and since then has become a global sensation. My Hero Academia has amassed fans around the world, and even now, its fame continues to grow.
The manga ended in 2024, much to the dismay of the readers. However, they were at least content with the ending. Despite the manga's conclusion, My Hero Academia's popularity has not faded away. In fact, more and more fans have been drawn in by the series.

Recently, My Hero Academia and Kagurabachi did a collaboration in which Takeru Hokazono drew Midoriya Izuku while Horikoshi Kohei made an illustration of Chihiro. It was an excellent tribute by Takeru Hokazono to one of the greatest manga authors of all time. Horikoshi Kohei's drawing of Chihiro is going to be beneficial to Kagurabachi's popularity, as it will certainly be circulated within the My Hero Academia community, ultimately drawing the interest of fans.
The collaboration between My Hero Academia and Kagurabachi can be considered an unofficial confirmation of the latter becoming the successor to Horikoshi Kohei's manga. It has already led to multiple debates within the anime community, mainly about whether Kagurabachi has what it takes to replace My Hero Academia.
Replacing My Hero Academia is obviously not an easy job. After all, it is a manga that sold more than 100 million copies, which is not a joke. So, Kagurabachi will have to produce similar numbers if it wants to be in the conversation. At the time of writing, the Kagurabachi manga has sold over 3 million copies, which is not a bad number, but it must do better. It is worth mentioning that Kagurabachi has only released nine volumes, and it has yet to receive an anime adaptation. So, there is a good chance that the numbers will go up once the anime starts to air.

Kagurabachi Needs An Anime To Grow In Popularity
Speaking of anime adaptations, Kagurabachi's adaptation could well be on its way. A domain was registered for the series, which is normally done when an announcement is close. A good example is the Sekiro anime. A few days before the official announcement, a domain was registered that started a ton of rumors. So, there is a chance Kagurabachi's anime adaptation could be officially confirmed in the next few weeks.
According to rumors, the anime will be produced by Cygames Pictures, which has previously worked on titles like Uma Musume, The Summer That Hikaru Died, and Apocalypse Hotel. All three series are highly rated by anime watchers, so if Cygames Pictures does end up animating Kagurabachi, it is bound to be of the highest quality. Even if Kagurabachi's anime adaptation takes longer to be announced, there are plenty of other titles to keep them busy for the coming five months.
Fall 2025 has already begun, meaning a new line-up of anime titles has already hit the streaming platforms. Out of the numerous new titles, One Punch Man Season 3, My Hero Academia Season 8, Kingdom Season 6, and Spy x Family Season 3 are the ones that stand out the most. All these anime have steadily built massive fan followings in the last few years.
Once the Fall 2025 season is over, the Winter 2026 season will take its place. The Winter 2026 season lineup is extremely promising, and it consists of some of the most highly anticipated titles. In January itself, fans will get to see Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2, Hell's Paradise Season 2, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, and Oshi no Ko Season 3. In addition to these titles, the Steel Ball Run anime will also release sometime in 2026. All these anime titles have amazing quality, so fans don't have to worry about wasting their time watching any of them.
