Bakugo’s Original Ranking in MHA Was 15th

MHA Fans Believed This To Be Too Low

MHA was one of the biggest manga in Weekly Shonen Jump, and it reached its conclusion last year, after a long run.

With the series having ended, fans of the series got to see where their favorite Heroes were on the Hero ranking. One of the most anticipated characters fans wanted to see the ranking of is Bakugo, one of MHA’s main characters.

Many fans were, however, very disappointed with where Bakugo ranked. Despite being such a pivotal character in MHA, especially during the Final War, he only ranked in the 15th spot, which was quite unbelievable to fans.

"Even if there's nothing left of me, I will win the way I want to!" — Bakugo

Technically, he would have been number 4, but he was demoted. The reason for that might be one that fans expect, and it’s his bad attitude and behavior. Bakugo’s bad character is nothing new, but fans still feel he deserves more as other characters with a bad attitude held high rankings, such as Endeavor, who used to hold the Number 1 and Number 2 rankings in Japan. Luckily for fans, Bakugo just got a new ranking update.

MHA recently received a ton of new information in the new My Hero Academia Fanbook Ultra Age. Fans had eagerly been waiting for this for a while. In this book, the new Hero Rankings have been revealed, and Bakugo’s ranking has changed drastically.

Previously at number 15, Bakugo jumped up 10 ranks, and now sits at Number 5 on the Hero Billboard Chart. Technically, this is not even his highest ranking ever, as he has been Number 4. This is, however, an improvement from 15. He would have gone back to Number 4 had it not been for Deku. Conversely, it is also possible that the only reason Bakugo started caring about the rankings was due to Deku shooting up the chart.

Fans still believe this is too low for Bakugo, especially as he had expressed the desire to become the Number One Hero once. But at the end of the day, Number 5 is a very good spot, especially as he’s contending with some powerful heroes. Furthermore, it doesn't matter much as strength-wise, not even the Number 1 can beat him.
