MHA almost ended very depressingly, as Horikoshi just revealed to fans.
Big projects concerning the series were announced, like the special episode “More,” but this event also saw the return of Horikoshi. Horikoshi dropped a brand new illustration, updating fans on their favorite adult Pro Hero, Izuku Midoriya. Deku, standing with other iconic MHA characters, Bakugo, Shoto, Ochaco, and All Might, also made it into this new illustration.

My Hero Academia’s manga ended in late 2024. Since then, its creator, Horikoshi, has not been as active. Despite that, he still drops updates here and there, such as the 2025 fan book for the series. Nevertheless, Horikoshi is once again back to MHA, and this time, for the occasion of Jump Festa 2026.
Horikoshi dropped a major illustration, giving fans a minor update on Deku. Fans get to see adult Deku, and he’s looking as happy as ever surrounded by his closest friends and mentor. It seems that after the end of the series and following the revival of his life as a Pro Hero, Izuku Midoriya is finally living his best life with the people who matter the most to him.
Horikoshi Showcases Bakugo, Shoto, Ochaco, and All Might As Well
Izuku Midoriya wasn’t the only character that Horikoshi illustrated for Jump Festa 2026. A few other beloved characters also made an appearance. Bakugo, MHA’s most popular character, as well as Deku’s biggest rival, was also there. There’s also Shoto Todoroki, currently Japan's Number Two Hero, as well.

My Hero Academia Received Updates On Many New Projects At Jump Festa
This year, it was My Hero Academia that officially kickstarted the biggest Shonen manga and anime event of the year, Jump Festa. It's safe to say that MHA didn’t disappoint with its reveals.
My Hero Academia’s final episode finally has more information now. Titled “More,” this special episode will drop in May 2026 on Crunchyroll. Other events, such as a concert, were also revealed, and two more major mystery events will be revealed to the fans soon.
