The Liberation Army's Grand Commander - Rikiya Yotsubashi, otherwise known as Re-Destro is one of the main villains in the My Hero Academia series. Re-Destro is also recognized as the descendent of Destro, who was the founder of the Meta Liberation Army.

However, Re-Destro did not last too long in power after the Meta Liberation Army merged with The League of Villians, causing him to step down and hand over his position of Grand Commander to Tomura Shigaraki. He was then demoted to one of the nine lieutenants of the Paranormal Liberation Front. Re-Destro possesses the quirk known as Stress, which is also an extremely powerful quirk with super destructive potential.

These villains are forgettable not because they aren’t powerful or have potential, but because their motives often feel shallow, among other things.

The One To Lead Them All?

Re-Destro had a huge following of supporters ready to act

With thousands following his footsteps, Re-Destro was an energetic leader who led the Meta Liberation Army with influence and persuasion. He believed in a society where people are able to express their quirks freely without being oppressed, hence the term "liberation" army, where people are liberated from the oppression of being a quirk holder. While on the outside, Re-Destro may seem like a calm and composed individual, he actually struggles with controlling his emotions. He is quick to outburst, especially when he is questioned about his authority and ideology. This may come off as arrogant to those who confront him about his ideals, but this is simply his way of living his sense of duty. He believes his views are necessary for creating a better world and will stop at nothing to ensure his plans succeed.

While some villains believe they are fighting for the right cause, they are sometimes blinded by the duty they are bound to. Re-Destro is also bound to a deep sense of duty, believing he is right and that his actions are needed to create a better world. As a leader and a fighter, Re-Destro possesses tactical intellect and is responsible for over a hundred thousand members. Because of his intellect, he was able to find out as much as he could about the League of Villains and led thousands of members to the fight against the heroes. Re-Destro's influence also comes from the fact that he was the CEO of Detnerat Company, an organization which focuses and specializes in making clothing for individuals with abnormal bodies.

We will tear down the existing framework and rebuild this world... As a place where people are free to be themselves and use their abilities as they see fit!

In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the "One-For-All" quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
