Using the quirk of Eri, All For One rewinds time to allow himself to become younger and return to the pinnacle of his power.

Immediately after this, he starts destroying several interloping heroes, intending to join Tomura Shigaraki to support him and advance his plans. However, All Might, now nearly powerless, steps in with an armored battle suit to buy time. Season 7 ends without concluding the Armored All Might fight against Prime All For One, leaving anime-only watchers waiting until Season 8 of My Hero Academia later this year to witness the ultimate conclusion.

Now invigorated as a younger version of himself, All for One becomes overconfident as he watches the battlefield. He effortlessly dispatches Hawks and steals his quirk in the process. Quickly, he overwhelms the remaining heroes and eliminates resistance wherever it is found while gorging himself on stolen quirks.

“It’s hard to believe this whelp is really All For One.” -All Might

This is a scary situation for the good guys, since years ago a stronger version of All for One was a match for Prime All Might, who reigned as the world’s number one hero for years before passing on his powers. However, All Might soon arrives, alone in the rain, to fight his old nemesis one more time. Before facing off against the invigorated One for All, the former number one hero questions if this might finally be the time he takes on more than he can handle. The cards seem stacked against him in this fight, and even his police friend Naomasa Tsukauchi believes he’s going to be effortlessly defeated.

“If you continue like this, you’ll face off against a villain and die an unspeakably gruesome death.” -Sir Nighteye.

All For One smiles while flying through the air at the now quirkless All Might, but we soon see the former top hero is ready to reveal the culmination of his hard work with the support heroes: his Armored All Might Form.

How He Manages to Help Defeat the Villain

Despite the desperate situation, All Might remembers his mentor’s words and puts on a smile. This smiling face is also replicated in his armored form’s design as he stares up at All for One.

“My whole life, I have never once fought thinking there was even a chance I could lose.” -All Might

All Might is able to surprise All for One, revealing the extent of effort that went into his suit to counter All for One’s fighting style and powers. Armored All Might’s own fighting style now incorporates the other heroes, allowing him to unexpectedly push All for One back instead of just buying time like some characters originally assumed. The armored hero even takes time to taunt All for One while he tries to knock him away.

“Man this is kind of shameless. Here I am in my 50s, beating up an utterly helpless young man!” -All Might

Bakugo Finishes Him Off

Bakugo stands strong as All for One is defeated.

Despite being met with a worthy challenge in Armored All Might, All for One’s ego refuses to acknowledge the danger he is actually in. He calls All Might an embarrassment and toys with him, but All Might is able to use a Super Acid Injection to disrupt the newly young body of All for One.

This created an opening for All Might, as now All for One’s body had to continue to de-age to compensate as he accumulated damage from the Class A-inspired attacks of All Might's armored form. Season 7 of the anime cuts this fight off with a cliffhanger, but the manga reveals that this moment was crucial in defeating All for One.

“Assuming, repeated massive damage to that body shortens his life span… I know just the quirk to get the job done all at once…” -All Might

Although All Might is almost violently killed, much like Sir Nighteye predicted, he and the other fighters bought enough time and inflicted enough damage for Bakugo to come in and take over the fight. Bakugo manages to deal the final remaining damage to de-age All for One, causing him to completely vanish out of existence and the world of My Hero Academia. All Might defeated Prime All for One by exploiting his hatred for One for All, luring him away and dealing enough damage to ensure he lost the ability to fight.

“Nighty Night, All for One.” -Bakugo
