The anime for My Hero Academia just ended, as the Final War finally concluded in the eighth season of the show. While the ending of the anime was quite satisfying to watch, it still left them heartbroken, largely because of how attached they'd grown to all the characters over the years.
My Hero Academia became a part of many fans’ lives, and quite a lot aren’t ready yet to let go. My Hero Academia isn’t completely over as a franchise, but fans should look ahead to new series to fill the gap left behind. Old anime, like One Piece or Naruto, could do the trick, but fans should also consider newer series, like Frieren or Jujutsu Kaisen.

Furthermore, My Hero Academia fans will surely enjoy One Piece. While it’s long, it features an incredible cast of characters. Horikoshi himself has quoted One Piece as one of his biggest inspirations for My Hero Academia.
Naruto

Naruto is another Shonen series that is a must-watch for any dedicated anime fan. Fans of My Hero Academia who have yet to watch it should definitely check it out now. Naruto’s story and villains will have viewers hooked. Naruto features about 700 episodes, and it can definitely fill the gap left by MHA for many fans.
To Be Hero X

To Be Hero X is a new 2025 anime series. A Chinese anime, To Be Hero X is perhaps the closest thing fans have to My Hero Academia. Both series focus on superheroes, and they have overlapping concepts, such as hero rankings.
To Be Hero X takes its rankings further, however, and instead of Quirks, heroes get their powers based on their fame and the faith others have in them. The series only has one season at the moment, but more content has already been confirmed.
Hunter X Hunter

Frieren and My Hero Academia are different, but they both showcase some heroic characters. My Hero Academia has its own Heroes, such as All Might and Deku, while Frieren has the likes of Himmel the Hero.
