While All-Might dominated the superhero sphere, the integral character gained several friends throughout his legendary career, with the warrior always having the capacity to call on those for aid or friendly advice in MHA.

10 Shota Aizawa

Hardened Faculty Member That Butts Heads With All Might

One of the many faculty members at U.A. High School, alongside All Might, is Eraser Head, the superhero otherwise known as Shota Aizawa. As a superhero whose quirk is able to halt people's quirks from functioning if Aizawa is looking directly at someone, Aizawa and All Might have clashed many times as teachers, with their teaching methods and attitudes to students differing.

From day 1, Aizawa puts Midoriya and his classmates through their paces, to the dismay of All Might, who has a more carefree and supportive approach towards his students. Despite their differing views, All Might and Aizawa came to develop their relationship throughout MHA, being more cordial and friendly as All Might retired from his post, with their best efforts being put into supporting the students at U.A. High.

9 Katsuki Bakugo

Hot-Headed Student Who Idolized All Might

Midoriya's childhood rival, Katsuki Bakugo, is often a lone wolf, intent on becoming the strongest superhero of them all. However, Bakugo has a long history with his idol, All Might, stemming back to when Japan's mightiest hero saved Bakugo and Midoriya from imminent danger. Despite idolizing and admiring All Might for his superiority and winning mentality, Bakugo still treats his hero the same as he would any other person, directing plenty of pent-up fury towards All Might.

After an earth-shattering battle between Bakugo and Deku on the U.A. High campus, All Might tells a guilt-ridden Bakugo the truth about his powers, bringing the troubled youth into his small circle, valuing Bakugo alongside his Class 1-A peer, Midoriya.

8 Recovery Girl

U.A. High's Masterful Healer Who Knows All Might's Secret

One of the few who knew of All Might's One For All powers and his deteriorating condition was the mysterious Recovery Girl, head healer at U.A. High. In MHA, Recovery Girl has always tried to keep All Might in check, scolding the superhero for allowing Midoriya to get injured for misusing One For All.

Using her grand wisdom and experience, Recovery Girl acts as a sounding board for All Might, helping him and Midoriya through wise guidance and otherworldly healing, with the nurse being one of All Might's most trusted allies.

7 Principal Nezu

Animal Hero That Employs All Might At U.A. High

One of All Might's most valued allies and friends in the superhero world is none other than Principal Nezu of U.A. High. Famed for his diminutive animal appearance, Nezu was one of the few people who knew the secret about All Might's powers, with his employment of All Might at U.A. High providing the superhero supreme the chance to seek out a potential successor from its wealth of talented students.

For various reasons, there are just certain things that Koichi can do that Deku can't in My Hero Academia: Vigilantes.

1

Besides being a pro hero and principal, Nezu acts as counsel for All Might, with the pair having a healthy relationship despite Nezu often going on long tangents, to the frequent dismay of All Might.

6 Naomasa Tsukauchi

Detective That Aids All Might Where He Can

As a skilled detective and cop, Naomasa Tsukauchi has been a friend to All Might for a number of years due to their overlap in fighting criminals and villains in society. Being one of the select few to know about All Might's fleeting condition and powers, Tsukauchi has become a close confidant to the symbol of peace, with the pair sharing information on villains such as All For One and his heinous minions.

Even after All Might loses all of his abilities, All Might and Tsukauchi still collaborate when necessary, helping Deku lead the fight against Tomura Shigaraki and his boss.

5 Sir Nighteye

All Might's Ultimate Sidekick

While All Might was in his prime and pomp as the world's symbol of peace, Sir Nighteye, the foresight hero, acted as his devoted sidekick for several years, aiding him in his role as Earth's greatest superhero. After taking such damage and devastation that affected his ability to maintain One For All, All Might and Nighteye fell out, with Nighteye demanding that his boss retire and give up the mantle of his ability to someone else, with his foresight gleaming a potential tragic end for All Might.

The row between the former partners started to be mended with Midoriya's involvement with Nighteye's agency. However, Nighteye initially disapproves of All Might passing his powers to the young boy. Later on, in the fight against Shie Hassaikai head honcho Kai Chisaki that sees Deku emerge victorious, although at the cost of Nighteye's life, All Might and Nighteye are able to reconcile shortly before his death, with Nighteye approving of All Might's choice to pick Midoriya over qualified candidates such as Mirio Togata.

4 Izuku Midoriya

All Might's Successor And Biggest Fan

MHA's young protagonist, Midoriya, otherwise known by his superhero alias, Deku, has become an integral presence in the story of All Might, becoming his successor with the One For All quirk being passed down to the quirkless boy. Despite there being many other more accomplished candidates that could have taken up the mantle of One For All, All Might valued Deku's bravery and heart upon their first meeting, while his lack of quirks made him reminiscent of Toshinori Yagi's younger self.

On Midoriya's path to following in his hero's footsteps, All Might has always attempted to mentor his pupil in the way he sees best fit, acting as a father figure to the child who aspired to be just like him growing up. Besides Midoriya's often mesmerized attitude towards All Might, considering his fanboy nature, the pair's affection and moments of vulnerability throughout MHA only bolster their relationship, forming one of the outstanding master-student bonds in all anime.

3 Gran Torino

Elderly Hero Who Mentored All Might As A Favor To A Friend

The elderly statesman and hero Gran Torino has been an important mentor to not just Midoriya, but also All Might, with Gran Torino having a strong allyship with All Might's predecessor, Nana Shimura. When mentoring a young Toshinori, Torino's harsh and meticulous training methods left a lasting impression on the future No. 1 superhero, even leaving All Might scared of Torino despite his elderly age.

Super powerful protagonists capable of anything might feel redundant in an anime plot, but these series are fun to watch despite an OP MC.

In All Might's second outing against All For One, Torino plays a key role in supporting All Might on the field, encouraging him against the vitriol spewed by his arch enemy, showing care for his protégé. While mentoring Midoriya to follow in his footsteps, All Might chooses to direct his pupil to Torino for training and guidance, with the aloof Torino being on hand to develop Deku as he prepares to harness the power of One For All against Shimura's grandson, Shigaraki.

2 David Shield

American Scientist Who Helped Design All Might's Costumes

In All Might's stint in America, the youthful hero found a formidable partner in David Shield, an American scientist who became All Might's companion while stateside. All Might and Shield's long-winded relationship has spanned a couple of decades, with Shield being known as the designer of All Might's famed costumes that Toshinori has donned while engaging in superhero duties.

Mutually, both Shield and All Might have become appreciative of each other, with Shield going as far as designing a device that enhances quirks in an attempt to prolong All Might's powers, even despite the criminal consequences that arose with his plan. Despite All Might returning to Japan to become the nation's hope against evil, the pair always remained in touch, molding a friendship built on trust and love.

1 Nana Shimura

All Might's Predecessor And Master

Long before All Might became Japan's symbol of peace, the young Toshinori was a nobody in society and a quirkless teenager, not before Shimura came along and altered the course of his life forever. When the pair first met, Toshinori's utter determination and mission to become a vestige of peace through becoming Shimura's disciple impressed the One For All wielder, with the ambitious boy winning over Shimura to become One For All's successor.

Despite her tough love, All Might considered Shimura a mother figure, with her teachings heavily influencing not just All Might's persona but his behavior and relationship with his successor, Midoriya.
