Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies mode is filled with various coveted drinks and machines, which give players a competitive advantage when facing hordes of the undead. Pack-a-Punched weapons go a long way in ensuring players clear out Mercenary camps and complete missions before exfiling the map. While the process of obtaining a Pack-a-Punch machine isn’t difficult, it involves a lot of grinding and traversing the map in high-threat zone areas. So, naturally, players want to keep their Pack-a-Punch weapons between matches to avoid hunting for a new one each time they drop.

How to Keep Pack-a-Punch Weapons Between Matches

To keep Pack-a-Punch weapons between matches, players must visit the Seatown Castle and interact with the grave on the rooftop. This interaction removes all weapon upgrades, including Pack-a-Punch, and stores them in the inventory for use in future matches. Note that players only get to keep the materials acquired to Pack-a-Punch their weapons, like Aetherium Crystals, Ammo Mods, and Aether Tool. This means your weapon won’t be Pack-a-Punched as is, but you’ll have the tools required to upgrade it. So, simply apply them to your weapons to Pack-a-Punch them for the next match.

To find the Seatwon Castle, drop into a match and head to the High Threat Zone area (it’s marked red on the tac map.) Next, go to the west side and head to the rooftop to find a grave. Click the interact button to “Pay Respects”, which will strip any upgrades from your weapons. Wait for Reward Rift to spawn with the tools required to Pack-a-Punch your weapons. Collect all these items and exfil with them, so you have the necessary items to Pack-a-Punch weapons before the next match.

It’s wise to do this at the end of the match since Modern Warfare 3 Zombies has a time limit. During the last 15 minutes, after players have completed their objectives and mission, they can complete this process while defeating hordes of the undead. Keeping your Pack-a-Punched weapons may seem useless, but it saves you a lot of time and effort during the next deployment. Instead of wasting time doing runs to collect all the resources required to Pack-a-Punch your weapons, you focus more on completing challenges and earning COD points.
