Ms. Marvel Has A Cool New Suit In The Marvels Set Photo

Ms. Marvel is one of Marvel Studios' highly-anticipated projects, and fans keep sharing behind-the-scenes photos from the sets of the upcoming Disney Plus series. These images have offered a look at the first female superhero from South Asia to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and her costume in the series. However, one viral photograph from the sets of The Marvels has now surfaced, which offers a look at Kamala Khan's updated costume.

It is already known that Ms. Marvel will set up the live-action version of Khan, but she is also set to appear in The Marvels, the sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel. It was announced earlier this week that The Marvels had wrapped filming, but before the crew packed up, a fan managed to capture Iman Vellani dressed up in character for the film.

The image in question shows Vellani standing on set, getting her makeup retouched, dressed in the iconic red and blue costume. The outfit, however, is different from the one that was first spotted in the leaked Ms. Marvel set photos. In the new images, the colors are slightly darker and the gold overlays are more apparent. This could simply be because, in the Disney Plus series, Khan is expected to wear a self-made costume, whereas, in The Marvels, she will potentially be given a new one to fit the cosmic plot.

Ms. Marvel will introduce the new character and offer fans a look at how Kamala Khan gains her shapeshifting powers. The Muslim teenager, based in New Jersey, appears in Marvel comics and is known to idolize Captain Marvel. After gaining her powers, she uses her abilities to fight crime in her city. It has been confirmed that the series will premiere on Disney Plus in 2022, but a date has not been announced yet. News reports suggest that fans will have to wait until the fourth quarter of next year to see the live-action version of the hero.

After the show, she will be joining Brie Larson's Captain Marvel and Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau in The Marvels, which is expected to premiere in theatres on February 17, 2023. If Ms. Marvel does premiere in late 2022, it would help in creating the ideal timeline, with the film arriving just a few months after. It would give the production team enough time to gauge audience reactions and complete the post-production on The Marvels.
