Following the announcement of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath last week, NetherRealm Studios has continued to get fans hyped through new information and trailers. Earlier this week, the studio put out a brand new trailer showing gameplay for Sheeva, Fujin, and the next guest character, RoboCop. Many fans have wondered how the usually stiff robot cop from the future would handle and based on the trailer, he looks to fit right in.

The first one performed on the Clown Prince of Crime has RoboCop pulling out his retractable blade from his hand and stabbing his opponent into the neck area. After pushing the bleeding Joker away, the view switches to first person as he raises his gun and shoots off his hand. Next the huge mech ED-209 stomps up behind him and unleashes its miniguns while RoboCop pulls out a sniper rifle that basically blows the enemy apart. Overkill for sure, but it's what the fans want.

The second fatality has RoboCop fire off a grenade round from his wrist launcher but instead of exploding, it flings off the opponents head, flies into the air and as it comes back down, he goes into targeting mode and fires a round at the opponent's groin. Doubled over in pain, the fired round actually goes through the enemy into the grenade that continued to fall causing a massive explosion that rips the opponent apart as RoboCop walks towards the camera.

While RoboCop may not have been everyone's first choice for the next big guest character, NetherRealm Studios has clearly put a lot of effort in making sure he translates well into the game. Not only did the studio bring in Peter Weller to voice the character, but they also gave him new skins that are a clear homage to the classic cyberninja versions of Cyrax, Smoke, Sub-Zero, and Sektor. Even though the robots as well as many of the classic ninjas are still missing from the roster, at least fans can now look the part with RoboCop.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
