- Potential leaks suggest DLC characters like Conan the Barbarian and Ghostface from Scream.
NetherRealm has officially confirmed that Mortal Kombat 1 will have a panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 26 at 2:00pm PT. Mortal Kombat 1 has nearly fulfilled its obligations with its first Kombat Pack, and so expectations are that the game will use its SDCC panel to reveal the long-rumored Kombat Pack 2.
Mortal Kombat 1's first Kombat Pack has added Ermac, Homelander, Omni-Man, Peacemaker, and Quan Chi to the game so far, with Takeda still on the way. Takeda will make his Mortal Kombat 1 debut on July 23, at which point, the popular fighting game will have added all previously announced DLC characters to its roster. Mortal Kombat 1's predecessor, Mortal Kombat 11, had a second Kombat Pack, plus a batch of characters that were added as part of the Aftermath expansion. So, it's long been assumed that MK1 would be adding DLC characters beyond what has already been revealed.
Every Mortal Kombat 1 Character, Ranked by Popularity
Although there's quite a bit of overlap between the best and most popular Mortal Kombat 1 characters, there are also one or two big surprises.
While it's entirely possible that the Mortal Kombat 1 Year 2 panel at San Diego Comic Con on July 26 will have other announcements for the game, it's highly likely that the event will be used to unveil Kombat Pack 2. All Mortal Kombat fans know for sure, though, is that the game is going to be featured at SDCC. Needless to say, Mortal Kombat 1 fans should circle July 26 on their calendars regardless, as it's sure to be a huge day for MK1 regardless of whether Kombat Pack 2 is revealed or not.
