Adventures in the Forbidden Lands of Monster Hunter Wilds are never uneventful, so to speak, with the introduction of event quests to the game. These special quests provide ambitious hunters with additional opportunities for more battle rewards, including ones that are truly-one-of-a-kind.
One such example in Monster Hunter Wilds is the When Do Quematrice Sing event quest, which has you square off once more against this brutish wyvern. The effort is well worth it, however, for the rewards you can get, so here's a guide to explain all that it entails.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Monsters that Should Be Added from Rise After Mizutsune
Mizutsune has made waves since arriving in Monster Hunter WIlds, and perhaps it shouldn't be the only one from Monster Hunter Rise who should return.
How to Unlock When Do Quematrice Sing Event Quest in Monster Hunter Wilds
The 'When Do Quematrice Sing' event quest was automatically added to the game as of April 9, 2025 for all Monster Hunter Wilds players. As with other event quests, however, it's only available for a limited time until April 22, 2025, so you'll need to tackle it before it vanishes.
As the quest itself is listed as HR9+, that means that you'll need to be Hunter Rank 9 or higher to access the quest. In other words, you need to have reached Chapter 4 of the game's main story and completed up through Chapter 4-1 to lift the soft HR8 cap and continue ranking up. Once those pre-requisites are fulfilled, you should see the quest pop up in your 'Event Quest' tab.
How to Complete When Do Quematrice Sing Event Quest in Monster Hunter Wilds
Event Quests work much like any other quest in Monster Hunter Wilds. First, go to your 'Event' Quests' tab in the 'Post/Join Quest' menu. You can do this either by talking to Alma or accessing the menu inside your tent.
Look for the 'When Do Quematrice Sing' quest in the listed options and select it. Make sure to eat a meal before you depart, stock up on Potions along with other necessary buff items, and choose an effective weapon. Quematrice is weakest to Water and most resistant to Fire, so keep that in mind. Once you feel ready, queue for the quest, and you'll be sent to the Windward Plains for this hunt.
This battle against Quematrice functions much like any other, in terms of the monster's abilities and overall mechanics. All of its attacks are inherently physical, but its tail will rile up sparks of fire that can cause Fireblight if you're not careful. Stick Nulberries in your Item Pouch in case this happens.
When Do Quematrice Sing Event Quest Rewards in Monster Hunter Wilds
In tradition with other event quests in the game, successfully completing the 'When Do Quematrice Sing' quest can lead to an impressive list of rewards for your hunter. Among those rewards is a ticket for a very special Amstrigian headpiece, which can only be obtained from this quest.
To make the headpiece, head to any Smithy location and search under the High Rank tier for 'Amstrigian (alpha)', which contains just the headpiece option. You'll need 3 x Amstrigian Tickets, 3 x Quematrice Crest+, and 5 x Monster Keenbone to complete the craft.
Aside from that unique prize, below is a list of all potential rewards from this event quest. Remember that you can use Lucky Vouchers to improve your odds of more and better rewards from a monster quest.
