Monster Hunter Wilds is one of the highest-rated games of 2025 so far, standing alongside other major titles like Death Stranding 2, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Split Fiction, and Blue Prince. As of writing, it's currently sitting with a score of 89 on OpenCritic. Within two months of the game's release, it sold over 10 million units worldwide and became the fastest-selling title in Capcom's history, making it a huge success for the company. Since its debut, Capcom has continued to support the game by regularly releasing updates filled with new content, fan-requested features, and bug fixes across all of its platforms.

In a recent post on Twitter, Capcom teased the upcoming release of Title Update 3, which will likely be filled with a wealth of fresh content meant to excite fans of the popular action role-playing game. Much like Monster Hunter Wilds' Title Update 2, which was recently released on June 30, the upcoming update will add another major monster to the game. As of writing, Capcom hasn't revealed which monster will be added to the game next, though fans will likely be given more information leading up to the debut of Title Update 3.

The post also teased another upcoming Festival of Accord, a seasonal event coming to Monster Hunter Wilds with the release of Title Update 3 in late September. The game's previous Festival of Accord, the Blossomdance spring seasonal event, came with a wide variety of exclusive rewards, including fresh cosmetics for players to enjoy when customizing the look of their character. As of writing, Capcom hasn't shared any specific details about the upcoming seasonal event.

While many fans are excited about the major update, Monster Hunter Wilds has seen a sharp decline in its concurrent player count on Steam. While it's expected that the popularity of any game will decrease months after its release, it seems as if the action role-playing game has lost 98% of its player base on the platform. Despite losing many of its players, a large portion of the community is feeling optimistic about the future of Monster Hunter Wilds due to Capcom's continued support and upcoming content.
