Some fans believe that Monster Hunter Wilds may be coming out in early 2025 due to recently uploaded feature videos. With fans patiently awaiting a vaguely revealed 2025 release date, Monster Hunter Wilds has many gamers feeling excited regarding the next entry in the popular franchise. The next generation of Monster Hunter looks to be following the open-world formula set by Monster Hunter World and its sequel, Monster Hunter Rise.

The official Monster Hunter YouTube channel and Twitter account uploaded several videos that showcase Monster Hunter Wilds, which has led fans to believe that the game will come out in six months. This line of thinking was based on how Monster Hunter World promoted the game at the time, when a video package was released half a year prior. Judging by the dates being discussed, speculations have risen that the game will be released during the first quarter of 2025, between January and March.

Some video packages uploaded were a Basic Mechanics Overview, a Focus Mode showcase, and a weapon demonstration for Monster Hunter' s iconic Great Sword, among others. While the Basic Mechanics video focused on the new Seikret mount and slinger functions, and the Focus Mode clip discussed the new targeting system, it was the weapon demo video that made fans believe that the game would come out in early 2025. Capcom posted a similar weapon demo reel for Monster Hunter World on July 27, 2017, which was six months before the game's initial release date. Monster Hunter Rise did something similar by uploading weapon trailers three months before it came out.

While the aforementioned dates are still early theories, the evidence looks to support the pattern discovered. With Monster Hunter Wilds releasing on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox on the same day, it is highly likely that Capcom has already prepared its game plan to ensure that its target release dates can be met, and that big releases can start the year right. After all, Capcom has a history of releasing previous Monster Hunter games during the first quarter of the year.
