The roster of beasts in Monster Hunter Wilds continues to expand with nostalgic additions such as Lagiacrus and Seregios, courtesy of the game's Title Update 2 content patch. Of course, a new monster in the game means armor and weapon recipes to check out at Gemma's forge. This also means that there are materials to grind for.
One especially challenging item to get in Monster Hunter Wilds is the Seregios Dissenter, which you'll need plenty of if you want to add Seregios armor to your monster wardrobe. Here's the best way to get this ridiculously elusive material.

How to Unlock Seregios in Monster Hunter Wilds
Seregios is a Flying Wyvern-type monster added as part of the game's Title Update 2 content patch, but there are still a couple of rank and quest prerequisites required to unlock this ruthless beast.
First, you need to have reached at least HR31 with your character, which you can do easily enough via the main story and optional quests you pick up along the way. Next, in terms of quests, you need to have at least completed the "A World Turned Upside Down" story mission in Chapter 5-2.
If those requirements have been met, you should then get a prompt from Alma about a quest in Kunafa Village (Windward Plains). This is the "Clear With a Chance of Sandstorm" quest, which will send you on a rescue mission and pit you against Seregios for the first time. Upon completing it, you'll receive 1 x Dalthydon Wool and 3 x Sharp Kunafa Cheese as item rewards for your efforts.
Furthermore, once you complete the HR40 Assignment quest "What Lies Ahead," the Tempered Seregios will be allowed to begin spawning in applicable areas.
How to Get Seregios Dissenter in Monster Hunter Wilds
After you defeat Seregios for the first time and visiting the Smithy, you'll find new Seregios armor sets along with a variety of Seregios weapons to add to your arsenal. As these are Rarity 7 sets, they're suitable for both looks (layered armor) and functionality. However, if you are looking to forge the entire ensemble, one particular crafting material that you'll need plenty of is the Seregios Dissenter.
The Seregios Dissenter is an exceptionally rare equipment material that has an abysmally low drop/carve rate (1-2%), meaning that you'll have to fight Seregios repeatedly to test those odds. However, there is a reliable method to circumvent this and actually guarantee a drop.
How to Complete New Fashion Old Feelings Quest in Monster Hunter Wilds
Fashion is a staple in Monster Hunter Wilds and Gemma wants to put your skill to the test in the New Fashion Old Feelings Quest. Here's how to do it.
Save Tempered Seregios as Investigation
That method involves using the map's Forecast feature to force a spawn of a Tempered Seregios. Anytime a monster spawns in a region and becomes active, you can view their Bonus Rewards via the map's Environment Overview feature. These rewards can sometimes include rare materials that are otherwise nearly impossible to get, including the Seregios Dissenter (seen above). However, that bonus drop only seems to appear with a Tempered Seregios rather than its normal variant.
Use the Environment Overview to track what monsters are active in the region, as well as those set to spawn in the near future via the Forecast tab (seen above). If you don't see any Seregios in the current Forecast, use your Rest feature in your tent to skip ahead to a later time and change the lineup.
Just bear in mind that each Rest will cost you 500 Guild Points, so use it wisely.
Seregios (and its Tempered variant) has the possibility to spawn in either the Windward Plains or the Ruins of Wyveria regions of the World Map. So far, the odds of a spawn seem to be significantly better in Windward Plains. It also seems to favor spawning in Fallow conditions, but it isn't necessarily locked to them.
Once you manage to track down a Tempered Seregios with the Seregios Dissenter as a guaranteed bonus reward drop, select either the monster's icon on the map itself or its entry in the Environment Overview. You should then see an option to 'Save as Investigation.' Do so, and this will allow you to hunt that specific Tempered Seregios up to three times before the investigation expires. Furthermore, on top of having an investigation as an option, you can also conduct a Field Survey of the monster for a fourth chance at a Dissenter drop.
With this method, you'll have plenty of Seregios Dissenters to make use of in no time. Just make sure to prepare for the fight accordingly, as Tempered Seregios is a Difficulty 8★ monster, and it's even more ruthless than its normal variant.
