Monster Hunter Wilds continues the franchise's tradition of giving players numerous armor styles to choose from. Now, players can get an armor design found only on a beloved NPC.
Much like previous installments, Monster Hunter Wilds gives players access to specific pieces of gear that look like designs that are only found on other NPC characters. When the game launched, there was similarly an entire armor set themed around a fellow hunter who journeyed with you across the story. This time, the armor is based off of Gemma's jacket. How to Get the Hawkheart Jacket in Monster Hunter Wilds
The Hawkheart Jacket is an armor piece obtainable through the New Fashion, Old Feelings side quest. After installing Title Update 2, Gemma will have a new quest available to players after speaking to her.
She will mention how she has a fashion idea that she wants you to try on and show off to other guild members. After accepting the quest, she will ask you to make the following armor pieces if you do not already have them crafted:
- Bulaqchi Specs a/B
- Hope Mail a
- Clerk Vambraces a
- Chatacabra Coil a/B
- Piragill Greaves a/B
Some of the armor pieces require either male or female armor designs in order to count for the quest. When crafting the armor pieces, there will either be a green circle next to the armor piece or an orange diamond. The orange diamond means female set, and the green circle means male.
After crafting the set, equip the armor designs as layered armor and report back to Gemma. You will then participate in a fashion show cutscene in which you show off Gemma's mixed set. After doing so, to show her appreciation, she grants you the Hawkheart Jacket armor piece in both a male and female design. Since it is granted to you as a fully crafted armor piece, it is immediately available as a layered armor option for your hunter after completing the quest.
On the armor piece, it has two levels of quick sheathe and four levels of constitution. This could be a decent armor piece for anyone looking to make a new build featuring some of the new Seregios armor pieces, but it only has one level one decoration slot. This leaves some room to be desired for build crafting options, but it still has some viability in terms of the skills naturally on it.
