Monster Hunter Wilds has many items and materials spread around its open world. Experienced hunters should always be gathering items out in the field while on hunts to stay stocked up on important ingredients and crafting materials. Some of these items are designated as "treasures." Treasures cannot be used to make new armor/weapons. Picking up a treasure will reward you with Hunter's Guild Points instead. You can then trade that treasure to certain characters for useful items in return.

Thundering Fulgurite is a unique and rare treasure. If you don't know how to find any, you could be stuck wandering the wilds for a long time before stumbling into this rare item. Continue reading this guide to learn the quickest way to find and farm Thundering Fulgurite in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Thundering Fulgurite Explained in Monster Hunter Wilds

Thundering Fulgurite is a different version of the Fulgurite that can be found in and around Area 3 in the Windward Plains. These blue crystals are a treasure in themselves that you can also grab for Guild Points and trading. Fulgurite is the remnants of stone getting hit by lightning from the Windward Plains' violent storms. Thundering Fulgurite will only appear under a particular set of conditions and can be traded to Kilama in Kunafa.

How to Farm Thundering Fulgurite in Monster Hunter Wilds

Head to the Windward Plains base camp, then go to your tent and rest. Keep in mind that this costs 500 Guild Points after Monster Hunter Wilds' first major update. You need to set the environment to Fallow and the time to Nighttime. These are the conditions necessary to cause the "Thundering Fulgurite Emergence" event. Once you've rested, open your map and check the Environment Overview.

The Fulgurite Vein event may start immediately and pop up on the right side of your screen. If it doesn't, scroll down to the Environment Overview to see future events. If the event is farther down the list, you will have to wait until it cycles through the events above it. Thundering Fulgurite Emergence is a rare event, so you may need to rest multiple times before it appears. Once the event has triggered, click on it on the list, and all the Fulgurite Veins will be labeled with map markers. Ride your Seikret to the veins to get some rare Thundering Fulgurite.

Upper Area 3 Thundering Fulgurite

One of the Thundering Fulgurite Veins may spawn in the upper part of Area 3. If your Seikret's auto travel stops at the top of nearby cliff, you'll need to jump to reach it. Drop down and use your Seikret's glide by pressing R2/RT on console or Z on PC. This area is also a good spot for finding some Mining Outcrops and other items you might need in Monster Hunter Wilds.
