Capcom announces free rewards for all Monster Hunter Wilds players when the game launches on February 28. The wait for Monster Hunter Wilds is nearly at an end, after multiple beta tests, players can finally get their hands on the release version of the game later this week.
Things are trending in a very positive direction for Capcom as Monster Hunter Wilds is coming off of two successful open beta tests, giving players a small slice of what the larger game will be featuring. On top of that, reviews have been glowing for the latest entry, even if some Monster Hunter Wilds fans are a bit worried that the core experience may be a bit easier than previous games in the franchise. Regardless, the fanbase is clearly excited, as the community has been able to smash Capcom's latest community challenge.
Monster Hunter Wilds Director Secretly Joined Player Matches During the Beta
Monster Hunter Wilds Director Yuya Tokuda admits to secretly joining players during the beta as a way to further gain insight and data.
Over social media, Capcom tasked players with utilizing a special hashtag in an effort to reach 100,000 posts in total. The event ran from Feb 16 to the 23, but clearly the task wasn't too difficult for fans to complete the Monster Hunter Wilds Community Challenge. In a new post, Capcom confirmed that the challenge was completed and as a reward for the efforts made, the studio is gifting all players with 100 Armor Spheres at launch.
Monster Hunter Wilds Giving Players Free Rewards
- 100 Armor Spheres
For longtime players, Armor Spheres are a core resource in Monster Hunter, originally appearing in the second game as a way to improve armor. The same appears to be true for this latest entry, as players can take these Armor Spheres to Gemma, the Smithy in Monster Hunter Wilds. It's worth noting that there are different types of Armor Spheres to collect, and these appear to be the standard versions, but still, they should go a long way to helping characters in the early portions of the game.
Alongside the free DLC, Monster Hunter Wilds is getting a major Day 1 update. Thankfully, the game is available for preloading, which also includes the massive 18GB update, though what it includes is still a mystery for now as Capcom hasn't released the official patch notes yet. Outside the usual bug fixes and gameplay tweaks, many fans have begun to speculate that the update could include high-resolution textures, which would indeed result in a higher file size overall. Either way, fans won't have to wait long before Monster Hunter Wilds arrives on February 28.
