Monster Hunter Wilds Addresses Challenge Quest Cheaters

Monster Hunter Wilds is cracking down on cheaters in Challenge Quests, and it's holding up rewards distribution to ensure fair play.

In a recent post on Twitter, sayurin_kk shared a video of their hunter using an emote to dodge an incoming attack from Monster Hunter Wilds' infamous Mizutsune. The emote itself is called Photo Pose: Vanish Sign, which can be acquired by purchasing the Photo Pose Set Vol. 1 for $3.99. Vanish Sign causes the player to launch into the air for a moment and stay there. The intent is to allow gamers to take a screenshot of themselves while striking an interesting post, but sayurin_kk saw the potential for something more. Instead of simply posing for a photo, they timed their use of the emote to perfectly align with one of Mizutsune's aquatic beam sweeps. Vanish Sign allowed them to dodge the attack without taking any damage at all.

Monster Hunter Wilds Player Uses Emote to Dodge Mizutsune

While it's possible the Vanish Sign emote could be used to dodge attacks from other monsters, sayurin_kk only posted footage of them using it to dodge one of Mizutsune's many attacks. Mizutsune was added to the game with Monster Hunter Wilds' Title Update 1, which introduced numerous features to the popular action RPG.

Gamers are always stretching the limits of what's possible, as one fan recently created the character Handsome Squidward in Monster Hunter Wilds. Whether using emotes creatively, mixing and matching armor sets, or taking extreme liberties with the character creator, players are always finding new ways to express themselves. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many people are feeling optimistic about the future of Monster Hunter Wilds.
