Monster Hunter Wilds continues Capcom's blockbuster RPG franchise and sends hunters into the Forbidden Lands. There are many new areas open for you to explore at your own leisure once you've discovered them. The Oilwell Basin is an area you will go to in the middle of Monster Hunter Wilds' story. This area is covered in oil and even fire once you go deep into the subterranean areas. Your hunter will passively receive damage in these certain areas due to the extreme heat. Your hunter must ingest Cool Drinks to prevent this damage.

Chillshrooms & Cool Drinks
Chillshrooms are a rare type of mushroom you can find while exploring. They have a dull white cap and can only be found underground. You can enter the wilds whenever you want by yourself or with friends by using the environment party link. It's always a good idea to gather ingredients for your potions and traps. Being prepared is an essential part of becoming a master hunter in Monster Hunter Wilds.
If you have some Chillshrooms already, you can craft Cool Drinks immediately. Open your crafting list at your base camp tent or out in the field. Find the Cool Drink recipe in the potions tab and confirm to turn one Chillshroom into one Cool Drink. There's no reason not to have a full set of five Cool Drinks in your loadout ready to go when you're hunting. Most of the Oilwell Basin monsters can head downward into the hotter parts of the map leaving you exposed to the extreme heat.
Where to Find Chillshrooms
Chillshrooms can only be found in one area in particular and that is the Oilwell Basin. Head down to the lower levels and search areas 12, 13, and 14. Follow the loop of water downward from area 14 as it twists into 13 to find 3 Chillshrooms. Another can be found in the small path east of area 13 heading toward the Limestone Cavern. You can set down a Pop-up Camp in the cavern and fast travel here to quickly farm Chillshrooms and other materials. The map above shows you where to find Chillshrooms labeled by the red arrows.
