Dareel's Special Research Report Side Mission in Monster Hunter Wilds will take players on a quest to find and capture the elusive Gillopod Endemic Life. This is a special type of Pillopod with a larger body and prominent, expanded energy circulation system. Basically, it's a weird little slimy bug thing that sticks to walls in the Ruins of Wyveria.

Creepy Crawlies
We managed to find a Gillopod in the Ruins of Wyveria, specifically on a wall south of Area 8 and west of Area 9 on the third level of the biome. You can see the exact spot in the picture above.
The wall in question can be seen on the right-hand side of the path if you're coming south from the '8' marked on the map. You'll see these pale-colored creatures crawling along the wall. You might also see some Pillopods, which look very similar to the Gillopod.
Bust out your capture net by holding L1/LB and scrolling through your item bar until you see it. Aim the Slinger with L2/LT, then fire the net with R2/RT.
Once the creature has been caught, you can report back to Dareel at Windward Plains to claim your reward.

Goodies
Head back to the home base at the Plains, and Dareel will hand over 10 
Gloamgrass Bud and 5 
Honey.
You can combine the Bud with a Godbug to create Dust of Life. Honey can be used with Potions to create super helpful 
Mega Potions.
