With the release of the full game just a few months away, Monster Hunter Wilds is looking to perfect its formula through player participation in a free open beta. This beta kicked off a few days early for PlayStation Plus members, and is now open to everyone on every platform to jump into. The beta aims to give players a good taste of how the game is going to play when it launches in February 2025, and it does so through a decent chunk of content. This includes access to the full character and Palico creators, the opening cutscene to the game, and several hunts to tackle.

Even more, though, is that Capcom is offering a chunk of rewards for players to unlock through participating in the beta for the full game. Beyond just allowing the players to bring their characters and Palicos over to the full release, they also have some cosmetic and item rewards to bring with them as well. Here is the rundown on what those rewards are.

Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Rewards

Monster Hunter Wilds - Beta Rewards

Truly, a person doesn't even have to progress through the entire beta in order to unlock the rewards. A person only has to create a character in the beta in order for the rewards to unlock when the full game launches.

Which is an important distinction to make: the following rewards are for the game's full launch and are not available during the beta test itself.

The first of these rewards is the Stuffed Felyne Teddy pendant that players can equip on their character. While it doesn't appear to offer any gameplay boosts, it certainly is an adorable addition to any player's look and style.

The last of the rewards is a handful of items that players can immediately add to their inventory:

These items will all be immediately helpful when the full game launches on February 28th, 2025. They will all bolster a player's chances in the first hunts of the game.

Now, in order to transfer these rewards over to the full release of Monster Hunter Wilds, players will need to use the same platform account that they used in the beta.

It should also be noted that any quest progress done in the beta will not carry over to the full release; it is just the character the player creates and these rewards that will come with them. While maybe not as much incentive for players as they'd want, it is still something to make the time spent in the beta worth it for the real release.

People can jump into the beta right now through the Playstation Store, Xbox Store, and Steam. They will have until November 3rd at 6:59 PM PT/9:49 PM ET to create their character.

During this time, they can participate in hunting the Chatacabra, Doshaguma, Balahara, and Rey Dau. That's a good amount of content to dip their toes into during the weekend.
