Monster Hunter Stories is one of the many spin-off games of the Monster Hunter franchise. However, this game takes on a completely different storyline than the mainline games. Instead of hunting monsters, the main character is a Monster Rider, and works alongside them.
While players are exploring the game's world, they will come across all kinds of monsters that they can meet. If they're lucky, the monsters will be willing to become friends with the player, allowing them to utilize the monster. Here's how to get a Pink Rathian.
What Is A Pink Rathian In Monster Hunter Stories?
The Pink Rathian is a variation of the popular Rathian. Its in-game description reads, "A vivid, pink-scaled Rathian subspecies. Its tail attacks are far more powerful than those of a regular Rathian." It is a Flying Wyvern and has a Speed Tendency with a Fire Attribute. They have weaknesses against Dragon and Thunder.
Additionally, the Monstie has a pretty decent amount of health and attack. However, the best part of it is its Riding Action. It can help the player find other Monsties while out in the wild. Here's a breakdown of its skills.
- Riding Action - Nest Search: "Detects monster nests while exploring the world."
- Kinship Skill - Scorching Slice: "Combines flames with a somersault kick to deal a devastating blow."
Monster Hunter Stories Review
Capcom's spin-off of the Monster Hunter series makes for a surprisingly enjoyable turn-based RPG on Nintendo 3DS, merging addictive mechanics with cutesy graphics.
How To Find A Pink Rathian In MHST
Players can find the Pink Rathian in the Perennial Pass area. Players should not try to catch this Monstie until they are at a higher level, as doing so at a lower level can cause the player to fail. In order to get this Monstie, players need to make one retreat back to its den so that they can grab one of its eggs. In order to do this, players can either shoot it with a Paintball Gun (within 3 turns of defeating it), trapping it, or blinding it. Once it retreats, players can follow it to its nest.
One thing that can help players is if they get the Den Protector skill. This increases the chance of a Monstie retreating, which allows them to follow it to the Monster Den. The four eggs in the picture above show what the Pink Rathian eggs look like, which will help distinguish them from any other egg in the game.
