The Ore upgrade tree in Monster Hunter Wilds may seem like a basic option, but the base damage on these weapons can be incredibly high. Should a large monster not have high physical defense, these weapons excel and are overall safe options for just about any hunt. Ore weapons also don't require you to get specific materials from monsters and can help prevent early backtracking.
As you progress to later regions in the game, you'll find rarer ores that can upgrade your weapons further down the ore trees, with one of the later-game ores found in low-rank areas being Lightcrystals. Here's where to find Lightcrystals and how to farm them efficiently.

To capture monsters, Monster Hunter Wilds players must craft a Trap and any Tranquilizer, then weaken the monster they want to capture.
Where To Find Lightcrystals In Monster Hunter Wilds
Lightcrystals are found when interacting with Mining Outcrops in the final region of the game, the Ruins of Wyveria. You'll reach this area during Chapter 3-1, and after that, you'll be able to explore and look for Mining Outcrops to get Lightcrystals and unlock the final low-rank upgrade for the ore tree. When interacting with Mining OUtcrops in Wyveria, you'll also have a chance of getting:
These are both materials you'll need to upgrade weapons through the ore tree and are also worth farming. Whenever you pass a Mining Outcrop, be sure to interact with it multiple times as they usually have three or four materials at once. These outcrops respawn every fifteen real-world minutes, so you can keep coming back and farming just a few select locations if that works easiest for you. Mining Outcrops are marked as blue rock icons with a question mark in the middle.
Each Mining Outcrop will only have one Lightcrystal, if it has one at all, with varying amounts of 
Machalite Ore and 
Dragonite Ore.

Best Area In Wyveria To Farm Lightcrystals In Monster Hunter Wilds
Wyveria may not have as many Mining Outcrops as Oilwell Basin, but luckily you won't need many Lightcrystals at once. The best place to look for Lightcrystals is Area 5, which is one of the first areas you can travel to that isn't far from base camp. There are only three Mining Outcrops in this area, but when mounted on your Seikret place a waypoint on a mining outcrop for your bird to automatically run there for you.
While this isn't the most efficient method compared to farming other minerals, you can focus on collecting other resources or Slinger ammo while your Seikret focuses on getting you where you need to go.
