The Guild Cross set is one of the many uniforms used by the Hunter's Guild in Monster Hunter Wilds. It resembles what a fantasy knight would wear in other games, a stark contrast to the usual monster-themed style seen in other sets, and that's exactly what makes it appealing to some players.
Players will only get to craft the Guild Cross armor later, once they unlock the Grand Hub in MH Wilds. Even then, they'll have to do a fair bit of grinding before they can make the entire set. Here's what you need to do to craft this armor.
Monster Hunter Wilds: How to Get Amstrigian Alpha Helmet
If you've ever wanted to have a bird for a hat in Monster Hunter Wilds, then the Amstrigian Alpha helmet is the way to go.
How to Unlock & Craft the Guild Cross Set in MH Wilds
The Guild Cross set will automatically get added to the Smithy's list of armor options once you defeat a Chatacabra in the Arena. For those who don't know, Arena Quests are special missions where players must hunt a monster with predetermined gear as provided by the guild, and here, hunters can compete to see who can score the fastest clear times.
Monsters don't drop their usual rewards in Arena Quests, and you won't get any monster parts at the end of these quests either. Instead, you'll get Arena Coins and other goodies. All monsters drop Pinnacle Coins, and Chatacabra specifically drop Chata Coins. You'll need the following materials to craft the Guild Cross set.
- 15 Chata Coins
- 5 Pinnacle Coins
- 2 Nerscylla Carapace
- 2 Congalala Pelt+
- 2 Rubbery Hide+
- 2 Rathian Scale+
- Kut-ku Scale+
All the monster parts needed here can only be obtained from High Rank, which shouldn't be an issue for players who have already reached this point.
You can expect the Chatacabra Arena Quest to drop three or four Chata Coins per run. However, keep in mind that Arena Quest rewards are randomized, and there's a chance for you to not get any Pinnacle Coins at the end of the hunt. It's just a matter of persistence at this point, and given how easy it is to fight a Chatacabra, getting the coins you need should take no more than 15 minutes.
Monster Hunter Wilds: How to Farm Zoh Shia
Zoh Shia is a monster that likes to play hard to get in Monster Hunter Wilds, and you'll need to know the best trick to spawn it.
Guild Cross Set Overview
The Guild Cross set features the following Equipment Skills:
- Bind Resistance 3
- Earplugs 3
- Windproof 3
- Tremor Resistance 3
- Flinch Free 3
This set is all about negating any sort of movement-impairing effect for hunters, whether it's the strong gusts of wind from a Rathalos, tremors caused by strong slam attacks, or attacks from fellow hunters.
The Guild Cross set won't do any favors for your damage output. Apart from not having any offensive Equipment Skills, it also has limited Decoration Slots that prevent skills like Weakness Exploit and Agitator from fitting into your build. This is a decent comfort set if you don't want to deal with movement-impairing effects, but there are other sets that are much better overall.
