Most of your armor and weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds not only increase your base stats but also give you access to unique skills that can be triggered in combat. These skills often offer temporary buffs that can help you capitalize on an opening of a monster to get even more out of your build.

Some of the in-game wording of skills can be a little unclear, and you may not know exactly how to trigger the skills, with Adrenaline Rush being one example. Here's how to trigger Adrenaline Rush and how to get the most out of it.

Auto-crafting is an easy way to make what you need and save inventory space in Monster Hunter Wilds; here's how it works.

How To Trigger Adrenaline Rush In Monster Hunter Wilds

To trigger Adrenaline Rush, you'll need at least one piece of gear or talisman with the skill, with every additional gear piece with the skill equipped only making the buff stronger. To activate the skill, all you need to do is get a perfect dodge. You can dodge incoming attacks while your character is moving with:

  • PlayStation - X
  • PC - X
  • Xbox - A

If you're not moving when you press the button your character will instead just crouch down.

The key to activating the skills is not only will you need to dodge an attack, but it has to be a perfect dodge meaning you do so at the last second. Outside of triggering the skill, there won't be a clear indicator that you made a perfect dodge, but if you have this skill equipped a notification will appear along the right side of the screen telling you the skill activated.

When making a perfect dodge, it's also important that you are in the attack's area of effect and not just slightly nearby. If you weren't in active danger and got out of the way at the last second, the skill won't activate.

Adrenaline Rush Activated

Once active, a small sword icon with a green arrow pointing up will appear along the very top left corner of the screen above your health bar. A timer with small red numbers will appear next to it as the skill wears off, and it will last for about thirty seconds. During this time, your overall attack will be increased, and a second notification will appear along the right side of the screen letting you know when the skill wears off. There is then no delay in when you can reactivate it, just as quickly as you can get another perfect dodge.
