Ever since Monster Hunter Rise launched in late March, Capcom has been updating the game with new monsters, features, and special event quests. The massive 2.0 update launched at the end of April and many fans are still diving into the content and attempting to defeat monsters like Kushala Daora and Teostra. However, with the 3.0 update coming very soon, Capcom has announced yet another Monster Hunter Digital Event for fans to enjoy later this week.

The Monster Hunter Digital Event will premiere live on May 26, 2021, at 7 AM PT/ 8 AM MT / 9 AM CT / 10 AM ET/ 3 PM BST, Capcom has confirmed. The event will not only cover the upcoming update for Monster Hunter Rise, but more details will be shown regarding Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, the next entry in the RPG spin-off series. Fans will be able to watch the presentation on the Monster Hunter Twitch and YouTube channels. As of the time of writing, Capcom has not confirmed just how long the presentation will be.

Monster Hunter Rise 3.0 Update Info and Release Time

As far as what the 3.0 update for Monster Hunter Rise contains is still up in the air, as Capom is keeping its lips shut regarding the monsters that will be added. All that the company has confirmed so far is that the update will include an additional story chapter that takes place after the game's original ending, and there will be new monsters obviously.

Just like the previous title update for Monster Hunter Rise, the patch will be free for all players. The new update will require approximately 1.4GB of space on the Switch. And if players have yet to download any of the Rise updates, the entire download will be 2.9 GB total.

As far as when the update will be going live, Capcom has not said anything about that yet, but, if it's anything like the last one, the update should begin to pop up for players a few hours after the broadcast comes to an end.

The Monster Hunter Digital Event that premiered back in April was about 16 minutes long, with half of the video showcasing Monster Hunter Stories 2 gameplay footage, and the other half focused on Monster Hunter Rise. Fans should expect the broadcast to mirror the previous one, as Stories 2 is scheduled to launch in less than two months, so Capcom will most likely want to push the marketing as much as it can for that one.

Monster Hunter Rise is now available on the Nintendo Switch with a PC port coming in early 2022. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will launch for PC and Switch on July 9, 2021.
