To give players more control when it comes to collecting stickers, Scopely recently introduced Swap Packs in Monopoly GO. A Swap Pack is a special type of sticker pack that allows players to exchange unwanted stickers for new ones. These packs exclusively contain higher-tier stickers (3-star, 4-star, and 5-star) and players can swap up to three stickers within a pack for new ones. Swapping a sticker will result in receiving a random new sticker from the same tier. The question is, should players open their Swap Packs in Monopoly GO during a Sticker Boom?

Should You Open Swap Packs During the Sticker Boom?

Sticker Booms is a temporary flash event where players receive a significantly increased number of stickers when opening sticker packs. The exact number of extra stickers depends upon the type of pack opened. For instance, a common Green pack can reward you with three stickers instead of one during a sticker boom, whereas a rare Purple pack gives you nine stickers instead of six.

A Swap Pack normally grants you four stickers, three of which you can swap for new ones. If you open a Swap Pack during a Sticker Boom, you’ll get six stickers out of it. This gives you more options to swap for stickers you actually want.

With six stickers instead of four, you have a higher chance of receiving stickers you can successfully swap for desirable ones. Considering this, it’s absolutely worth opening Swap Packs during a Sticker Boom in Monopoly GO. The extra stickers also increase your overall chances of getting rare or valuable stickers within the pack itself.

Keep in mind that even during a Sticker Boom, there's still a chance of getting unwanted stickers from a Swap Pack.

How To Get More Swap Packs in Monopoly GO

Unlike regular sticker packs, Swap Packs are pretty rare to get. You can get them mainly as a reward during the different minigames in Monopoly GO, like Treasure Hunts, Partner Events, or Peg-E games. Completing specific challenges or reaching milestones within these games often rewards Swap Packs. If you want to get more Swap Packs, make sure to actively participate in these minigames and events.

A more guaranteed way of getting Swap Packs is to open the Gold Vault in the Stickers for Rewards menu. It costs about 700 Stars and contains a Blue Sticker Pack, a Purple Sticker Pack, and a Swap Pack.
