Monopoly GO developer Scopely has recently released the v.1.37.1 update, which fixed some bugs and promises to bring “seasonal surprises” to the popular mobile game. Released in April 2023 as the mobile version of the classic tabletop game, Monopoly GO has become very popular, and it seems that gamers will have the chance to access exclusive cosmetics and events during the most festive season of the year.
In its latest season, which started on December 5, Monopoly GO started the Jingle Joy album, offering exclusive rewards and new events with Christmas-themed challenges. Jingle Joy follows the previous Marvel GO album, which was focused on the popular Disney-owned IP.

Now, Scopely has released a mysterious December update for Monopoly GO. As usual with these updates, the new one fixes several bugs and brings technical enhancements to Monopoly GO, but that’s not all, as unique cosmetics and events have been promised as well. However, Scopely was quite mysterious when actually revealing more about this content. For example, the developer promised “plenty of seasonal surprises” regarding cosmetics, but it has not revealed any of the actual cosmetics yet. There’s also an upcoming event which was described as “something fast, fun, and frozen,” but not directly disclosed. To participate in events and acquire cosmetics, gamers will have to check Monopoly GO regularly, as it’s still unclear when each part of the new update will be available.
The new update comes on the heels of a new mini-game that was recently introduced to Monopoly GO. On December 12, Monopoly GO started The Adventure Club: Haunted Mansion, which allows gamers to explore a winter mansion and solve a series of missions to unlock exclusive rewards.
Not all recent changes to Monopoly GO have been seen by fans in an entirely positive light, though. Last week, some gamers noted that Monopoly GO put a limit on how many devices can be used to play it. Before now, gamers could use the same account on multiple devices, but this change will limit them to using only one smartphone or tablet at the same time, likely due to security reasons.
With new updates and constantly offering gamers fresh content, Monopoly GO stands out as one of the best mobile games of 2024. Hopefully, the rest of the content added during December will be exciting for players, and be engaging enough to satiate the hype being created by Scopely with the update.
