The cat's out of the bag if you remember the show, but for those who don't, the team of five Power Rangers is eventually joined by a newcomer in the form of Tommy Oliver. This beloved Green Ranger, who was brought to life by Jason David Frank, could also be part of the side-scrolling brawler if you get things right.

Just like in the show, Tommy Oliver shows up being controlled by Rita Repulsa and is first an antagonist. Once the big bad has been defeated, the Green Ranger will come to his senses and make the right decision to switch allegiances and join the team, making him a playable character. This expands your selection to six characters, and this means that six players can join in the fun on PC, Xbox consoles, and the Nintendo Switch. However, PlayStation players will still only be able to play with four at one time.

To unlock the Green Ranger, you simply have to finish all 15 stages in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind. There is no need to complete all optional goals or collect the secrets; just beat the game, and he can be selected for your subsequent runs.

As for how Tommy plays, he functions similarly to the other Power Rangers, being able to do the same combos, with only his special being unique. In the on-rails shooting and driving sections, Tommy will also be piloting his own special robot alongside the others.
