Update 4/27: New Mortal Kombat 11 patch notes, shared via Reddit, indicate that this issue has been addressed. Original story follows.

Since the Mortal Kombat 11 release date earlier this week, it has become clear that support for the title will vary based on what platform a fan is playing on. Indeed, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions have already been tweaked in several ways, while no such adjustments have been made to Mortal Kombat 11 Switch or PC. This has led to some voiced frustration in the community, and a newly discovered issue is not making things better.

Specifically, Mortal Kombat 11 players that are playing on PC are reporting that an item required to advance in the Krypt, a single-player game mode where players can obtain skins and other cosmetic items, is not currently in the game. As such, these fans are hitting a point where they are no longer able to progress through the Krypt.

To note, describing this issue in detail requires some Mortal Kombat 11 spoilers. Players that wish to take on the Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt without any prior knowledge are thus advised to turn back now.

The problem in particular revolves around a puzzle in the Krypt that requires players to collect three Elder God keys in order to progress. One of these Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt key items is obtainable by donating a designated amount of coins to the shrine, another appears to be a random loot drop, and the final has to be crafted. This crafted key is where PC players are struggling.

Namely, PC players are reporting that they are not currently able to obtain a Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt item, the Ensorcelled Eye of the Dragon, which is required to craft the final key. This item is said to drop from spiders in Goro's Layer, but after hours of farming, players are coming up empty handed.

Undoubtedly, NetherRealm Studios will address this issue in time, allowing PC players to complete the Krypt. However, due to the current lag in updates to the PC version of Mortal Kombat 11, there is still the question of when that might occur.

Indeed, NetherRealm has announced that a Mortal Kombat 11 patch for PC is coming in a matter of days, and it will get the game current to the PS4 and Xbox releases. Hopefully for those that are stuck in the Krypt, this patch will also add the Mortal Kombat 11 Ensorcelled Eye of the Dragon.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
