Thankfully, the encounter can be completed using any Kombatant, so players can at least choose their favorite Mortal Kombat 1 fighter to make life a little easier.
How to Solve the NEW TO THE BLOCK Klue in Mortal Kombat 1
In order to solve the NEW TO THE BLOCK Klue, players will need to block a certain number of attacks, which can be done by holding Block (R2 on PlayStation, RT on Xbox, or ZR on Switch). It's unclear how many attacks need to be blocked exactly, so the best strategy for this encounter is to whittle the other Kombatant's health bar down so that they're one hit away from death and then start holding Block (or Down and Block, when the other fighter is using low attacks). If they find their health getting low, they can throw out a few punches to finish the fight, but as long as their health remains higher than their opponent's, they may want to continue blocking until the timer runs down completely so as to maximize their chances of success.

Solving the NEW TO THE BLOCK Klue will reward players with Kitana's Mistress of Fans Skin, the Hyper Kritical Common Relic, and 100 Seasonal Kredits. Hyper Kritical causes players to start fights at Kritical Health, which at first can make it seem like a fairly unhelpful relic. However, while the relic is equipped, being at Kritical Health will result in all of the player's blocks being Perfect Blocks, and Perfect Blocking will make their next attack pierce armor. It's still a difficult relic to use even with these impressive buffs, but in the right hands, it can be incredibly effective. As for the other rewards, the skin can be equipped in the Kustomize menu and Seasonal Kredits can be used to purchase time-limited Kosmetics from the Seasonal Store.
