In order to unlock these gates, players will need to get their hands on a special key item known as the Cracked Amulet, but doing so will be far from easy. This is because the only way to get a Cracked Amulet is to defeat a powerful Kombatant, which some Mortal Kombat 1 players may have trouble with.
How to Get the Cracked Amulet in Mortal Kombat 1
To get the Cracked Amulet, players will need to beat Dark Raiden, who is the main boss of the Season of Storms. They'll face off against him in Fengjian Village, which is the sixth and final Mesa in Season 5 of Invasions mode. To make this encounter easier, players should use a Kombatant like Smoke who has 50% immunity to Electric attacks, and equip them with a Relic that provides an additional 50% immunity. This way, only a handful of Raiden's attacks will be able to hurt them, turning this into one of the simplest final showdowns in Invasions Mode history.
How to Get Every Key Item in Season 5 of Invasions Mode
The Cracked Amulet isn't the only Invasions Mode key item that players will need to acquire in Season 5. Each Mesa has another locked gate barring access to its final boss, meaning that players will need to fully explore the Mesa to find this key item before they can move on to the next one.
