In one of the images, they show dozens of different fish head frames, to help them identify the variants, and another two images highlight two varieties of tropical fish - snooper light gray and magenta, and stripey light blue and blue. They say they spent two years putting the collection together while playing with their children. To make the feat even more impressive, they got all the fish swimming in vanilla survival, with no farms. In order not to lose track of their unusual task, they used a spreadsheet to catalog each variant found.

The other reason tropical fish attract attention is their low occurrence: their spawn rate is only 2%.
The tropical fish were added in 2018 as part of the Aquatic Update, an important Minecraft update that, in addition to the fish, brought new features such as kelp and sea pickles, and mobs including dolphins, turtles, and the drowned.
