Reddit user IAmNotARobot5544 had a rare encounter with a Baby Zombie while playing Minecraft. The player shows the moment when the Baby Zombie suddenly appears riding a pig and launching attacks. The Minecraft player hit the pig and killed the mob in a single hit, making the Baby Zombie run on fire due to their enchanted sword. The Baby Zombie then mounts a chicken, but due to its burning status, it dies a few moments later, bringing an unexpected encounter for the Minecraft player to an end.
Why Baby Zombies Are One of the Rarest Minecraft Mobs
The Baby Zombie distinguishes itself by being very agile and attacking quickly, a headache for Minecraft players to counter due to its small hitbox. Baby Zombies can mount a variety of Minecraft mobs, such as adult unsaddled pigs and chickens, the latter having only a 0.25% chance of happening if there isn't a chicken around. The odds of a Minecraft player seeing a Baby Zombie wearing enchanted equipment is even lower.
As well as being one of the rarest mobs in Minecraft, Baby Zombies are one of the Zombie variants that exist in Mojang's game. Another equally interesting variant is the Geared Zombies, which come equipped with weapons and armor and, if it has a helmet, will become immune to daylight burning. The list also includes the Zombie Villager, an alternative version of the Villager that appears when it is infected by a Zombie. Unlike the other versions of the Zombie, Minecraft players can cure Zombie Villagers.
