Gamers will know that Minecraft’s desert biome is a vast expanse, and dedicated players have spent years designing and sharing their various desert temples, villages, and even fortified bases centered around the pyramids.

Posted on Reddit by Swordself_MC, a few concept art images were shared on the Minecraftbuilds subreddit, showcasing a detailed desert house complete with palm trees, similar to another Minecraft player who created a concept to make deserts less boring. The structure is a multi-layered abode with castle-type windows and battlements, boasting sandstone bricks to match the desert’s tone. Ladders, viewing points, and a winding staircase were also featured, and the concept was so impressive it mirrored the architecture from Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Origins. Going under the name “Swordself,” the desert house isn’t the architect’s first rodeo, as the player has also created stunning blue and red houses, colored mansions, and their “Cerulean Tower” looked like it belonged in a high-fantasy game.

Some Minecraft fans think it’s time to receive new weather types for biomes like the desert and badlands, but in the interim, Redditors never tire of seeing players’ jaw-dropping builds. The original poster’s desert house was noted as being “stunning,” and some wanted to know what program was used to create the concept. Furthermore, it inspired other crafters to share their creations with the community, which makes it a rewarding experience for all involved.

This isn’t the first time an incredible structure was erected in the voxel desert plains, and it certainly won’t be the last. Players have also been recreating structures from other game franchises in the sandbox, including one Minecraft architect who built The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s Gerudo Desert.
